Question about brownies and my slight dilemma.

Me and my girlfriend are going to Disney which is no smoking so we were going to make brownies. We will be gone for two and a half days and currently have a half ounce of dank. We would rather not use the whole half, but if we have to then it's fine. So my question is will this amount of weed made into brownies last us three days eating just enough to keep a minimal high?

The high from eating cannabis will last longer than if smoked. If it will las,t depends on your tolerances and the quality of your buds, but I'm guessing it should. Also you probably already know, but don't even try to smoke inside Disneyland. They have people All over the place looking for stuff like that. The only time I've ever done it was on the Skytram, and we only had one joint, so it was gone before we got to the end. I've smoked in the parking lot before but you gotta be extremely careful there too. So it sounds like you know what your doing by using edibles. I'm a little jealous, you should have a great time.

If you put the bud in an over the counter brownie mix, it will call for 1/4 cup of oil.

Just Put the bud in your vegetable oil to retrieve goodness, the ratio for me is 7 grams to 1/4 cup of oil.
quarter oz bud to one batch brownies.

I have never made bud infused oil in that small a qty.
Use a double boiler and a good thermometer to keep temp at 220 till oil is glossy black.
cool oil before straining, I use silkscreen to filter.
Wear gloves so you can squeeze all the oil out of the bud.
store cool dark place!

Enjoy!

forgot time, at least two hours at 220 in double boiler if not more!

How much would you suggest i use to make a full batch? I know it depends but we are new to edibles, how much would we eat at a time? Yeah, it's going to be a blast.

It's hard to put an amount on it. Start out small and work your way up. Sometimes it takes a small amount and you don't feel it right away so you eat more and pry more if your like me. Then when it all kicks in your crappie floppin on the floor.

Alright, so how much should be in each serving? I hear .4-2.5g each. So that means that a quarter would make 17.5 servings at .4 grams each, would one or two of them be the amount you eat for a 4 or so hour high?

There are so many things to take into consideration really. I find it completely irrelevant to put an exact number on how much weed you should use. I've done a bit of research as of lately, so let me try to help figure out what MIGHT work best for you.

First we have to take in consideration how heavy of a smoker you are.
Do you smoke everyday?
How much do you smoke weekly?
How high is your tolerance?

Next thing we have to take into consideration is your cannabis cooking skill level.
Have you ever made cannaoil or cannabutter before?
If butter, what kind of butter are you planning on using?
If oil, what kind of oil are you planning on using?
Pressure cooker? Double pots? Single pan?

Also, we have to take into consideration how well you bake your brownies.
If you burn them or rush the process, you can end up destroying the thc.
How many brownies do you want to make?
How large?

There are probably a ton of other questions, but we'll start here.

I suggest doing a trial run of the finished product, however you make it. cause like beuffer420 said you could wind of 2 ripped to enjoy. be warned Its takes awhile to feel the effects

One huge factor is if you eat them on a empty stomach or not. Eating them on an empty stomach will make you feel them alot faster and stronger. Try eating maybe a half then wait an hour, see how you feel, go from there. Have fun.

It's a trial and error type thing really. depending on the amount of product you use and the quality of it, did you get it too hot when cooking ect all factors in.
