i am using it on my baby right now in soil and it looks to be working good, i have been reading people recommend not using it in a hydro grow which is what i am doing next, does anyone know for sure? they say it will clog up the pumps etc but when i water i just get a gallon or 2 of water from the store and mix my nutes and molasses into that and poor it in, so i guess my question is, is black strap molasses still good to use in a hydro grow as far as getting the plant a boost in growing

No.
The only scenario in which to use molasses is SOIL grows.
The plant itself cannot process the sugars and the nutrient content is negligible at best.
In soil, there is a microbial and bacterial ecosystem that must be maintained and fed. Molasses is a great food for those microbes and bacteria in soil.
