az or co...which 1 do you think would be better? LA isn't looking 2 good atm either right? ohh what about canada? know anything about that? thanks for your input..been putting a lot of thought into this and cant make up my mind, and have no idea what 2 do or whom to ask, hard to make up my mind about a HUGE decision in my life and don't want to end up home less lol
Well I wouldnt want to leave the USA unless I was a criminal on the run lol. This country is way better than Canada hands down its just better. Cali has a great MJ scene its pretty much the Cannabis Mecca in North America. Growing in Cali is as simple as planting a seed in the ground and let the climate do the rest. I run a sealed environment too. AZ is a great place to grow indoors maybe one of the best because of the dry climate and because of the dry climate = less bugs. Colorado is a nice place too just the elevation thing might cause you a little trouble at first.

but which would be better for me, since im trying to make a decent living, and not have to worry about not being able to sale some of my product and be broke/homeless..i read where lots of people do this and make decent money and have no problems, and also read some news storys of people running home dispensarys and getting caught selling cocaine and having tons of guns too like wtf? lol..

im just wanting to make a decent living like any other american, and its hard to have a decent job and smoke cannabis without getting fired...don't want to live a shitty and unhappy..and im in my mid early 20's so...lots of time ahead for me to plan how i want to live and dont want to invest into something that will bite me in the ass in the end and make me homeless

Ya the only way to make a living with it now is to sell(get donations for) clones, teens and meds... The competition is crazy, when I bought meds for a donation 3 months ago...sure felt like a drug deal, won't do that again...

California has definitely got the love. AZ is pretty much a racist state, that has elected officials, like our piece of shit governor Jan Brewer, who want to strike down Medical growers. As soon as dispensaries are allowed to open, most of the states population of patient card holders, will be felons if they grow their own medicine. There is a 25 mile exclusion zone around each and every dispensary (when they open) where it is illegal for patients to grow their own medicine. AZ is new on the medical scene. The states voters passed this law by a margin that was like .01% of the votes, seriously slim. In California, there are no limits for the amount of medicine a patient can possess or grow. The Cali supreme court ruled that any limits on patients were illegal. You just should stay below the 99 plant limit that will get you a federal mandatory 5 year minimum. If I had to move anywhere the state of Arizona would be my last choice. Yes I live here and moved from Cali to finish my degree here. I'm bumping my credit hours up to 21 this semester so I can leave ASAP. This state is seriously fucked. Though it is an extremely beautiful state with a lot of great people too. The laws are fucked up though and the amount of cops on the street is ridiculous. Look up AZ on the news, you will see a bunch of racist assholes that want to kick out Mexicans, get rid of any public health programs, get rid of all workers rights, charge taxpayers to build a multi billion dollar border fence inside of the one that the US govt is already building. This state is fucked and I cant wait to get back to Cali.

In Cali you could grow 99 plants smoke what you want and sell the rest to any dispensary. I just started a small grow for my own personal use. I have no time to grow to sell. If however some shit head is allowed to open one here in Flagstaff, then I would have to toss everything or risk prison. Personally I will do everything I can to make a dispensary that opens lose their license. They have no accountability and you have no way of knowing weather the fertilizers and pesticides they use on their plants are even approved for consumable crops. Most people I know who grow, use banned chemicals for their herb and they say its medicinal. Shit like Clonex, which is highly toxic and only meant for ornamentals, and other cloning compounds will give a patient cancer.

Im sure Im going to get flack from AZ peeps, for speaking the truth about this state, but whatever they can be jealous of California. Colorado rocks for growers btw. You get nice cool air, clean water, great laws and the chance for beautiful outdoor rec.

You wont hear any slack from me. I was born and raised in AZ and I know this is a "red state" its really hard to compare a liberal state like Cali to a conservative state like AZ.

Word!

Mostly true man!

It is sad there are soo many restriction on MMJ in the first place...

12 plants & 2.5 OZ possesion.. WTF

That was the WHOLE part I really do not get... Allowed to cultivate 12 plants but my legal possesion limit is 2.5OZ...

12 plants will harvest over 2.5OZ of usable marijuana...

How can a law allow you to NOT be in compliance with itself???

I've read the law several times, and I see the 2.5 oz limit as the maximum amount that a dispensary is allowed to sell you every two weeks. I was wondering about if you cultivated it yourself. I couldn't find anywhere in the law where it mentions that you can't have more then 2.5 oz if you produce it yourself. It does say dried processed marijuana flowers, though several times. If your intended to make hash or edibles, it wouldn't be considered processed yet. I see this as a loophole. You could sit on half a pound that you intended to make edibles out of, and it would be up to the courts to prove that you were not planning on processing it further.

A nice video that explains why Cali is so great. LOL. Find a song about a state better then this one. :)

If you love West Virginia, I would have to add "Take Me Home Country Roads," by J. Denver. Thought that I wouldn't like the east coast, but I did 1350 miles on the Appalachian trail last summer break and got to say, other then some scary medical marijuana sentences, it's awesome.

Move to Canada if you want to be safe and have a lot of patients. Plus in Canada there are many ways to get connected to caregivers or patients without fear. Also we have the biggest marijuana march worldwide, some guy brought a plant last time!
How's that conversation gonna go? I want to emigrate to grow pot? Canada is only semi-legalized, and not for American expats.

I couldn't disagree more. Canada is a much more progressive country whose government provides free health care for all citizens. Canadians rarely lock their doors, everyone owns guns but nobody ever gets shot and the news media still reports the truth. The attitude about weed is WAY more laid back there in general and a higher percentage of Canadians smoke too. Canada fucking rocks. My goal is to ride the US MMJ train until the wheels fall off and then retire to rural British Colombia within the next 10 years.

Wait a sec...just looked again at your screen name...I'm arguing the concept of living abroad to a guy named "BeaverHuntr" in an Arizona thread. Uhm, seriously? I'll kick my own ass for being that retarded, my bad.

Find another place would be best, Canada sounds excellent for your operation. Arizona is not a good place for dope dealers, actually against the law here.

SevenHourWorkWeek,
You should live in another country, please, you can do it. Your kind is bringing us all down instead of making your country, family, & life better here. Hard work is the key to reaching your goals & should not be confused with the "grass is greener" over there dreamers. There is no easy road in life except the one that leads to an unfulfilled life spent dreaming of what could be.
