Not anyway to know your environment and set up issues but I would suggest at least a 6" fan.

I use 2. One from the carbon filter to the 1st 600w hood. Then another pulling out of a 2nd 600w hood to exhaust 20ft. to my chimney.

It all depends on intake air temp and humidity and many other factors.

I would need a 6" fan to cool a 400 in summer for example.

Forget that not lol checked temps there way to high but it's saying now my humidity is on 10 percent now I put it on the pots edge when thermometer was on the floor it was 40 but yeah temps have rises even more got 2x 400w hps 2x 6 inch inch oscillating fans and 2 x 4inch extractors 1 for in 1 for out room size 6 ft 2 inches length, 3 ft 9 inches wides and 8 ft tall gonna get a 2x 6 inch inline extractors to replace 4 inch ones any ideas

Ahh celcius. I'm thinking you want 25?

I use hyper fans. And one hydrofarm green one.

I think they are all pretty much reliable. You have some good brands to read reviews of there I'm sure.

It's all about intake air and exhausting out of the environment.

You can also air cool the fixtures on their own loop. And use a fan to turn the environment much slower. Better for plants this way and you only need enough fan to cool the space inside the sealed lamps and the ducts.

Somewhere I think icmag has a ventilation 101 thread that is very helpful.

If this only sorts out the temperature problem do you know of any decent humidifiers

Well I use a compact whole house humidifier. It is supposed to handle 2500 sq. Feet but it is good for half that. But I live in a humid place. Only dry in winter inside with heat on.

If you are exhausting out and your air is dry you need a fogger or a big house humidifier.

I use filtered water to fill to avoid mineral buildup and bacteria.

If you have central heat or air you can put the humidifier in the furnace room near the air return and it will blow around the whole house.

You can. It all depends on many factors. If you humidify an air cooled exhausted room you will keep sucking the humidity out. If your lights are on their own sealed loop independent from Grow room air then you have more control.

I suggest you search and read the thread I mentioned. And any threads here on growroom ventilation.

It is a trial and error kind of thing once you get started so you should know all the standard math.
