quantum strip grow light

Quality light but You would be underpowered for flowering but ok for veg.
You want two of his 265w QB kits or the 530w kit.
Or you could start with what you have linked above and cover 1mx1m then add the H-150 at a later date.

Not sure if he does custom strip builds. But would be worth asking him @diyled

You want about 30-35w per square foot with that level of efficiency lighting.
But I have seen people go as low as 25w per square foot.

EDIT He does say he can customise so perhaps he can slap on a bigger driver or two smaller drivers and whack a few extra strips on to get you where you need to be.

Hi! Nice choice!!! Do you have an HPS atm? If you do prepare to be amazed with your future crops! I don't understand why people still buy HID!???

cheers , if i went as low as 25w per square foot it would work out bang on 400w which is what i want to burn,so adding another strip to it would be acceptable ? im growing with 2 x 315cmh at moment https://www.rollitup.org/attachments/img_1472-jpg.4041975/ ( last years pic) been happy with them but wanna go led.

I was out of the led world for 2 years so I guess there is members who will be more usefull on the tech side!
On the grow side I can tell you to be prepare to pull the gram per watt and even more depends on your actual skills! I heard that cmh 315w are as good as a 600w HPS and average growers(like me) are able to pull about 0.7/0.8gpw (with 4/5 weeks vegg no co2 no a/c only an extractor fan and a fan in soil) so about 420/480 grams(15/18 oz)! Switching to cxb3590 3500k CD allowed me to pull 1.3/1.4gpw with the same setup only a change of light!
The watt didn't mean a lot because you will get more weight from 25w very efficient than from 50w a lot less efficient! I guess Growmau5 a well know member who work for a led company now(chilled) pulled 1.9gpw with the same COB I have the cxb3590 but I run mine @1400mA and he runs his @700mA and he had one each ft2!
You can go as low as 25w ft2 but you need a very efficient light and you need to spread the light as much as you can!
That's why I have now a COB every ft2 and I replace the drivers to use 700mA ones! It is less bright but I have the proof that the more efficient the light is the more weed you get plus you with multiple light source you cover a bigger area it create less heat so you can go closer!
I like the Samsung QB288 I think it will be my next build...1 qb every ft2 and I think there are not far from 220 lm/w at 25w!
Anyway whatever you buy or build must keep in mind that the lower watt you use your led the longer they will remain at 100% and the better they work(efficiency and efficacy are the master words!!) you want them to be much better than your cmh!

Did you try todogrowled they are in Spain and have a good reputation and prices! And they have Samsung pcb! I am not sure this design is the best for a 4x4 since it is a single bar and the advantages of led is the coverage!
To me the ideal would be an aluminium square a little bit smaller than 4x4 and Samsung diodes evenly spread to have 25w every ft2 at 200 lm//w with the drivers out of the box(plus a few 660nm for bloom and 730nm )spread spread spread! Same light same intensity same canopy everywhere!!!
You need to stop thinking HID style and start thinking multiple sources!
It also mean starting to train bend pinch and lst plants because with multiple light sources you have larger plants and you can use all the room!

It's designed for a 1m x 1m or 3ft x 3ft. It won't cover a 4x4.
Hi! Are Samsung diodes soldered on the quantum boards? Is it possible to use another method? Is it possible to find a pcb 3.7x3.7 with 400w of diodes at 200 lm/w(I don't know how many mA they need to be this efficient!?)
Thanks!

3.7 x 3.7.....?
Is that 3' 7" or m?

3"7x3"7...a bit less than my 4x4!!! So 110x110 to cover all the space with light!!! Uniformity!!! I know it is big but if you really use them @250mA so about 25w for 288 diodes it should be awesome!!!
I have access to large aluminium sheets so I was wondering if it was possible without soldering...but I know there will be a lot of wire to use!!!
It will be my next DIY! Or if I find 2"x2" pcb (60x60) or even 1"x1"(30x30) it would be great!

You'd need to contact an Alibaba Vendor to get a custom board made to your specs.

QB 288 v2
Is it not 500mA for 22 watts for 288 diodes?

VDC Current (mA) Watts at Board Lm/W at Board (55C)
45.72 500 22.86 206 3.00

I've been wrong before tho lol

Yea it is, and 3.00 umol/j
You'd be sporting a badass light. Expensive, but badass.

Yes I want to build it but like I said I wasn't on RIU for 2 years so I have a lot to read about qb's and Samsung diodes! I know how cxb3590 can do as I have made a lots of panels @1400mA and 700mA...i know there is a big weight and heat and watering and nutes difference! So I was wondering what even more efficient lights could pull in gpw!
If DIY is not possible or require too much soldering with Samsung diodes I will go another way but I really want to have this kind of light...something almost as large as a 4x4 or 4 time almost 2"x2"(I guess it would be easier to find) and spread diodes to have 100w at the mA who give 200 lm/w! If I am correct it will be 288 x 4 =1152 diodes x 4 so a total of 4608 diodes spread as evenly as I can! Is it sound crazy is there other people on RIU who DIY Samsung diodes! I will not start to build it tomorrow I just want to know if it is possible or not? I pray for a yes cause if it grow like I think it grow I would be able to get the same weight for less electricity so I want to give it a try!
Have a lifted one and lots of good vibes from France growers

Hi bro , you could build something like this pics , wich are 117 cm long and will fit a 4x4 perfectly .this are with 10 f-series gen3 strips each lamp @1050 mA.
Hope it helps

Thanks! I went on samsug site and to get the higher efficiency from diodes (3500k)so about 36lm per diodes driven at .65mA and 0.2w per diode or chip I will get 36lm x 5(to get 1w)= 180lm/w am I correct? I guess only 5000k give 220lm/w!? It lead me to another question what is the advantage of having lm 301b pcb compare to COB? I don't know how many lm/w a cxb3590 3500k DB pull @700mA but it should be close or over lm301b so why should I go with qb or strips?
Strips looks cool I guess it is 2ft strips...i don't know how much it cost but yes twice the strip or more to get 460/500w @ the mA who give me 190/200lm/w!
I believe my cxb3590 3500k CD @1400mA are 160 lm/w if I remember well and they are 185lm/w @700mA so I want something more efficient to increase my yield!
