You can get them already made in the USA. Also the nextlight mega uses Samsung diodes just the older gen most people just don't want to pay $1500 chilled uses the same diodes also. You are aware that "quantum board" is the name of a diy product sold by a company right? So no you won't get a "quantum board" that is a completer fixture the fixture will have a different name.

Quantum boards are a HLG product, they have some lights which are kits and some which are not, the HLG550 for example is not a kit where the HLG600 is a kit. Both light up a 5x5 area but the value for money is in the 600 from my eyes. They also have the HLG300 which is not a kit, if you look at the website its shown assembled in the box ready to ship.

https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/products/hlg-300

Growers lights will assemble the kits and pre test them for you for the price of $25 extra.

I really wouldn't worry about putting a kit together though. It takes a couple of screws and the ability to wire a plug. Its a 5min job.

I think the wording is just confusing him quantum boards come already made I would guess he's looking for a fixture with Samsung lm561c diodes.
im looking for something good to go in my 5x5ft tent

so if QBs are only LEDs made up then why to hell are LEDs getting such a bad rep ?

i just sent my 2x600W viparspectre back last week because of all the bad reports im reading

Well yeah those are super outdated the fact that something convinced you to buy that in the first place is why led has a bad rep.

These guys are now selling HLG lighting in Europe but they are limited to certain models.
HLG550 might suit your tent. But again I see more value in the HLG600 direct from HLG even after paying shipping from the USA.
The 550 is pretty expensive.

The reason the QBs are good is just because they use one of the top efficiency diodes and are built to be pretty highly efficient, which is the opposite of the cheap lights like vipar or mars, who use old diodes and build lights to fit a budget. Plus they talk out of their ass when it comes to sales pitches.

Complete led fixture that will cover a 5x5 like 1000w hps will cost you at least $1500 that's another reason it gets a bad rep people won't spend the money to do it right.

Would the 550 really cover a 5x5? I know my 600 kits won't light up the edges very well but it is a different heatsink.

If you want the best complete fixture with Samsung diodes this is it quantum boards are more of a diy/cost savings option.

now i am really confused .... so this ( https://chilledgrowlights.com/our-products-services/commercial-led-grow-lights/chilled-led-grow-light-1000w ) is approx $2100 for a 1000 watt.. and its LED right ? so why should i buy this when i can buy a KIND 1000W for approx 850 dollars ?
KIND have a good rep dont they ?

5x5 I would say 6 x qb's, and a driver to power them will give more than enough power in a 5x5, but go diy so you can spread them out better to get wall to wall coverage.

That would mean building two 320 set ups should handle it without problem?

Yeah 6 would be great or 9 if you have the extra cash I run 9 boards soft over a 4.5x4.5 get over 1000ppfd across the whole canopy at 12 in dimmed down to like 600w

Because many of the old LED's were lucky to match HID in efficiency, but with too low Wattage to be useful.

I'd buy 6 4ft double row Samsungs and a 600W driver for a very simple build. You'd be in $300 + cost of driver.
