I'm planning on doing another change to the spectrum this next run with the Elites using parts I have on hand. It will mean a little redesign for this run, going from 9 elites at 1050ma to 5 elites at 2100ma, losing a little efficiency and picking up some wattage. With the added reds I'm dropping the 660's and just using the 35 watts of 630nm, looking for a little less stretch.

Hey CM. Whats your take on 630 versus 660? Planning in having some strips made custom and appreciate your input.

My advise would be to either keep them on separate strips or have two channels so that you can adjust the ratio by how many you use or how hard you drive them or both. From my experience the deep and far reds can stretch things out and the 630 is more about building biomass.

FTG day 42. I noticed a lot of Rove beetles in her pot today and was pleasantly surprised. I haven't released any since last summer and the garden was shut down twice since then. Very hardy predator that obviously breeds, I sterilize any soil that comes into the garden. I got a friend to start using them and he said they spread through his whole house and even colonized his house plants.

Geez, that list is like an old man's medicine list.... and you call that not too fancy? If your doing organic, why not just do super soil?

Well, I'm an old man lol. I used to make my own soil but I don't have the space right now and I've been having health issues so this is the next best thing.
