Quantum ballast and power cord question.

I have a 600 watt dimable Quantum ballast that I can hear shorting out when I wiggle the female end (where the power enters the ballast) of the power cord. I have taken it apart and it's not an internal issue, rather an issue with the cord not fitting properly.

I work on computers a lot so unfortunately, I may be using the wrong cord.

Can someone look at one and tell me what it says on the cord. Apparently all power cords of this type are not alike.

Thanks in advance.

It should have come with a power cord when you bought it.

Shouldnt be more than 8$ at the grow shop.

It did come with a power cord. How else would I know it was shorting out? It just doesn't fit properly or I accidentally switched if for a different cord that doesn't fit properly.

110v right?

AWIN SVT (UL) E228636 VW-1 105*C 300V 16AWGX3C AWIN C(UL) SVT 105*C 16AWGX3C 300V FT2

Can you just hardwire the power cord into the ballast?

clean the connector and test it with a different cord( same as a pc cord for the psu)

bring it in to the hydro shop and have them test it there. I have 4 600w quantum's with no problems
