i also have a question, i could always look it up but id like to hear other peoples opinions, …. its really far down the line, and theres a chance i wont even be able to do it, but if i were to get a male out of the bunch or a few for that matter, A.) how do you go about choosing the best male of the bunch, and B.) if im growing everything outdoor, both male and female would reach full maturity at the same time, if thats the case would i be able to even seed anything out or because theyre growing at the same rate i wouldnt be able to pollenate the female early enough for full seed development, i know subcool says its best to pollenate around week 2 to give them 6 weeks to finish everything…. i dont know i guess well see

IME, males will still show a bit of resin on the fan leaves (may have to use magnification, but with good eyes or a strong male you may not need) and some will be strong and thick stems, others will have weak stems with huge flower clusters... all in what you want out of your male? I'd start by looking for the most healthy, uniform one as that will help any offspring retain the same.

Also, you'll have plenty of seeds if you leave them go, so don't worry about that. Subcool waits on his females because he's in the business of selling seeds so he wants as many as he can get from each run. The only reason you'd need to stagger is if you want an entirely seeded plant. I'd let them go a couple days past dropping pollen (usually about 3 weeks into flower), kill the male and then wait 3 days. Then hose down your ladies to kill off any active pollen that might still be left. You'll have plently to play with. You certainly don't want to leave your males around until harvest time.

ladies are lookin great, still cant upload photos, i need to get the start up disc for mac osx to reboot everything… i forgot, my password, i tied them down a few days ago, and made some improvements to the green house by adding screen around the base, at the door and where i installed a box fan for exhuast. i also added an oscelating fan and a pump to circulate my water supply which comes from the rain catcher that i added with an overflow drain that goes about 30 feet away.
