QB boards with Cree 660nm

If it's another made in China board I'm sorry but I can't be bothered, there are too many of them from these small factories, I don't trust any information out of China, I deal with China on a daily basis and I don't trust the information they give out from these small factories.
Yes it's Chinese company, I picked 3 different companies and they all seems to have good reviews on different forums but yes you never know I guess...
But then 99% of everything electric I have at home is made in China in one way or another. I bet if you crack our planet in 2, in the middle you will find a sticker saying "Made in China" :D

But I could not find any bad reviews and I searched several days, the companies I thought I would give a chance are: R2T, KingBrite & Meijiu.
But yeah, who knows, perhaps I will learn a lesson the hard way ;)

You can take the chance, it will grow if it uses enough power. I don't like copy companies so yes I am biased in that regard, small companies like who you are buying from actually think they are smart when they rip you off. That's just how they think. I have 13 years experience dealing with China and I have learnt alot over the years. Make sure you add everything up as it's often not alot of difference to buying a one off from China than it is to buy something local. Don't trust reviews either.

I beg to differ on the added reds. Not on the same channel as whites. But added 660nm and 672nm helps a good bit on trich production and saves a few days of flower. I've run the same strain with and without. When adding the reds during the onset of flower it does cause more stretch. But I also have added royal blue I switch on during the first 21 days of flower to help with stretch. But added reds definitely help.

With added 660nm and 672nm

Without the added 660nm and 672nm

The proof is in the pudding.

And @welight I've emailed you back a few times.

The amount of 660nm he showed in the spectrum is fk all, that's why I said what I said, you have a different set up where you can use it or not, different to being on one board

First option, the one with many cree 660:
Not very sure they are cree. Most other chjnaboards with this setup use shitty epistars. Will it matter much? Probably not.

I didnt look at any spectrum. That's just my personal experience using deep and far reds.

what % of your wattage are you devoting to those two reds?

good photo..but the flowering looks way different..
Of course they look different. Different spectrums bring out different expressions. And the one with more trichs isnt as far into flower as the one with less. That in itself shows they are worth it. I've been building lights and messing with different spectrums for the last 5 years. And I've found running 2700k and 3000k with 660nm and 672nm has been the best so far.

I run 660w of 2700k and 3000k and 115w of reds.

My other light is straight 3500k no reds.

WW, what were your observations using 1750? Did you use it mixed or mostly 1750?
Honestly it really didnt flower much different than 27s. But I run the meat chips with Cree XP3s 3w royal blue chips and the run turned out very nice. I have two tents I change with each harvest. Just to play around with spectrum. I'm going back to the meat chips with royal blue and limes from cutter next. See how they do.

Kingbrite off of baba. Tried. Tested. True.

Medium bin samsung diodes that kingbrite uses vs. Hlg top bin 10% efficiency difference. Is that worth paying 1000 bucks for a qb when you can get one for 300 bucks from kingbrite.......maybe up to you. Your money.

My opinion.Dont waste your time with HLG unless your a professional grower and have your grow COMPLETELY dialed in and that 10% matters to you......and if you like being gouged for a name brand, then go HLG.

Dont trust any other company on baba accept for kingbrite and possibly meiju. But definately kingbrite. Never seen one BAD review against on these forums or thc farmer. And they have a 4.9 out of 5 star rating from 400+ reviews on baba.. Alot of HLG fanboys say babas reviews are bs and not real. That's false. I can prove my review and a friends review is real on there and I was so happy with my HLG knockoff with uv and ir I'm ordering more. Instead if ordering the 480 watt boards tho I'm going with 240 watts for better coverage. My 480 watt has a little fan blowing on the driver and barely puts out any heat. Honestly dude you sound new to this. Save yourself some SUBSTANTIAL money. go kingbrite. Till u get some more experience with equipment and plants. If u have any questions about the kingbrite quantums hit me up. In the end tho. Dont let anyone spend your money. I had a handful of people off this forum tell me this 3000 watt (630 watt chinese philzon was a waste of 400 bucks)
Does this look like a waste of 400 bucks to you? This is a first time grower using this light as well :weed:processed.jpeg
Take the pros advice with a grain of salt..they been doing this for so long they think their way is the only way and anything else is a waste of time and money. Chinese is a legitimate choice to grow superb medicinal man.

Kingbrite has a samsung lm301h board with uv, ir, and 660nm epistars for 190cad.

And they carry the same board with crees instead of epistar for 250cad. I'd bet my first born child KINGBRITE is using real crees.

Those plants look like a sativa that were let to do their own thing no training. No defoliating. Just let em grow. Big baseball bat sized buds. Yeah real shitty for a second grow from a Chinese light for doing literally nothing to them but nutes.

Huh? The Chinese versions are the cheap ones the namebrand are the expensive ones. Your statment make zero fucking sense.

You've gone full retard. This statement doesn't make sense.

If you had a milliom dollars in your bank, obviously you wouldn't care what anything cost.

You wanna pay 3 to 4 times more for a light because their local for a sense of self satisfaction then you must be huffing gasoline.

I could give a fuck about north American stores that gouge their customers. I save money on purchases which my family can benefit from, not some local fucking merc.

You sound as stupid as the things you write.
Sit down before you hurt yourself

Hi guys

Perhaps some more info will help. I bought "regular" ones, that is with no extra red leds.
I bought 6 boards and 2 heat sinks, 3 boards on each heat sink and 1 320w driver for each heat sink.

I've used them for 2 grows and it worked really good. Unfortunately couple of individual diods died on some of the boards and some other started to die, that is they worked but the light coming out was much less. But since each board only lost couple of diods you could hardly tell there was any difference.

I contacted Kingbrite, took pics on the boards and they were surprised that couple of diods started to die so soon. But there was no hassle and they offered to send 6 new boards free of charge. They did not have the models I ordered since they were older and newer ones had come out so instead they sent me 6 of the new model.

The new ones have extra 660nm and 730nm diods (LM301B 3000K+CREE XP-E 660nm+730nm).
They were more expensive and I have now used them for 1 grow, and I'm really impressed. I have also moved both drivers outside the tent which I recommend doing, it will lower heat in the tent and lower heat on the heat sink.

So far everything with Kingbrite was really good and I can recommend them. Sure couple of diods died, shit happens and it could just have been bad luck or perhaps I made some mistakes, who knows... The dimmer they sent will go down to almost 0%, HLG with dimmers go only to 20%, not sure dimming them below 20% perhaps will harm the diods? Could perhaps be that but Kingbrite would most likely not send dimmers going so low if they would harm the boards... I'm just thinking out load, not sure what happened.

But one thing is sure, when I contacted Kingbright about this, they just asked for couple of pics and 7-10 days later I had 6 new boards even though dead diods where on 4 boards and not all of the 6 boards.

So customer care was 100% and personally for me that is the most important part. Shit happens and if you are selling several 1000 boards each year, they will be couple of bad boards, I expect that could happen with anything electronic, what makes you stand out is the customer service when that does happen.

And like I said, they sent new ones directly and they sent much better versions and newer versions so I'm really happy and I will definitely use Kingbright in the future.

I will try to give more updated after couple of more grows with the new boards.
Cheers!
