UPDATE:

both of my purple plants have a set of real leaves, one is growing a second.
I did however notice a small black fly run across the soil today. He rued the day he crossed my plant. anyway I need a remedy because where there is one of those dudes there are probably alot more coming.

My apartment is hot as hell and I am only running 8 26 watters so 208 watts total and its a balmy 75 degrees in here. All I know is my neighbors use way too much power on heat because I never run myn even when I left for a month for break.

I have 2 windows continuosly cracked.

Pictures will begin this week as my phone to computer cable will be here probably monday or tuesday.

No more flies weird. I did clean the heck out of my apartment on Sunday so they might have been coming from something I cleaned. I heard over watering can cause flies but I wasn't overwatering.

Regardless I am happy I hate those things. got them once in the fall from some home grown pears, and had to put out alot of traps to get them all. beer with soap in it is the best they love C02.

My plants both look like this one. I am boggled the cotelydons didn't grow at all they just started putting on real leaves. Could I be doing something wrong?

PH perfect, light perfect, using super thrive 1drop per gallon and miracle grow moisture control. water only when dry and starting ferts next water at 1 tspn per gallon of 10-10-10.

I am noticing a little purpling of the newest set of leaves they are hard to see. Is this the phenotype or could it be a deficiency? Also the stem is still purple but starting to green up is this because the jiffymix I started in blows or am I doing something wrong?

If anyone knows are my plants growing at an acceptable speed?

Here are my two babies and a picture of how close the light is remember cfl proximity is key.

The latter one had the first set of real leaves go brown on me and the ends of the 2 biggest leaves have some spotting. when I went to my superbolw party yesterday they were about an inch and a half away from the lights they WERE TOUCHING when I got home about 8 hours later. I cut the first set of leaves in half removing the crispy stuff.

I don't think nute burn did this because none of the leaves are curling down they are all hard and pointing. I hope it was just the lights, anyone have similar experience of losing lower leaves when higher ones got burned?

Sup growizzilers, early morning today but I'll post some pics.

I started LST yesterday as they are both at 5 nodes really compact but 5 nodes.

Changed lights to 8 26watt 6500 cfl
and 4 42 watt 2700k

As I had to flush my soil it is really wet and the fungus flies are back. Whatever I don't think they hurt anything unless they get in mass numbers.

Other than that they lightened up and the switch to 17 and 7 has been good for them. Might need dilute fertilizer after the medium dries out if they dont darken.

I had to trim the faster one up to get more colas.
But the one that got burned is getting big fast.

Its hard to believe because they are so short but they are at the sixth node. When is a good node to start flowering on?

They are still damp as hell been close to a week now, oh well they look healthy.

Check out the lights 12 of em 376 watts.
