Push harvest date back if stunted during flowering??

Hi all,

I've got 2 strawberry banana ladies in a DWC setup (will provide pics). I'm very proud of them as its my first grow, but being my first grow, a week or 2 into flower they ran into severe root rot issues, which I've since corrected and I'm keeping at bay. They didn't make any progress for at least 2 weeks and very slow progress for the next 2. No growth, wilted yellowing bottom leaves, barely drinking or eating, etc. I'm 8 weeks into flower and they're fine now, and are drinking again, though not eating as much as they used to, but they're eating, and the buds are packing on weight.

My question is the strains flowering time is 9-10 weeks. 9 weeks is 1 week away, I'm just wondering if the stunting of growth would have also stunted their maturity? Should I estimate an additional 2 weeks of flowering? I want to give them at least a week to flush.

Tldr: stunted for 3 weeks during flowering, do I push the harvest back 3 weeks

I suggest you don’t go by a schedule to harvest. Just harvest them when they are done.

Or a decent set of Loupes and look at the trichomes. A safe place to harvest is about 1/2 cloudy if you like an up high. Go almost all cloudy if you prefer a more couchlock type high.

A set back in flower can cause them to mature earlier and a longer length of flowering time won't necessarily make up for a mistake in flower. But on your first grow getting it to harvest is success.

I've been planning on getting one, I've been trying to use a macro lens app on my phone, they look all cloudy to be honest which sucks because I haven't gotten half the size I wanted out of em but oh well. I'l wait until I've checked with a proper lens, thanks mate

And overall ripeness, scent and colour. But first time its hard to pinpoint so yes.

Thanks guys, I just did some quick refreshing on harvesting, and i feel better about it now, i dont think ANY of the calyxes have darkened at all, theyre all still 100% white so i think i still have a few weeks of fattening. I got a pocket microscope on my lunch break (took a train and a 30 min walk followed by an uber back!) now i just have to wait till lights on to check the trics. Fingers crossed theyre all clear so i can get some more fattening time!
