Hello. As the title says my stems are purpling. These clones are about 12 days old (from root). Is it possible that I may be underfeeding?
U am giving them
200 ppm calmag
450 sensi a and b
rhizontonic
mycorhizae

Other than the purpling the plants seem to be growing just fine. Please let me know. Thanks IMG_0508.JPG IMG_0508.JPG IMG_0509.JPG IMG_0510.JPG

Your in flowering stage. This is when you start to see real tell tell signs....Look for changes. Read about them, and apply it to your grow. Research my friend.

I have read inconsistent information. some have said that it can be underfeeding while others have said it could be genetic. I was maybe hoping to get information from someone who has grown this strain or has experienced this. I am not sure whether to up my feeding or if it is natural

The info will be inconsistent because no two grows are alike. Yu have to be able to spot other signs to help determine. Ive had a lot of strains get purple stems or purple stripes along the stalk. If the plant is still healthy and growing steadily, then yur most likely fine.

Cannabis Nutrient And Deficiency Table
To use the table just match up the plants symptoms with those on the table. Nutrients that are shaded Red are the problem. Find that nutrient in the text below the table for the remedy.

NITROGEN (N)
Pale plants, red stems, smaller growth. Rapid yellowing of lower leaves progressing up the plant. Add any chemical fertilizer containing N. Treated plants recover in about a week.
PHOSPHORUS (P)
Slow or stunted growth, red stems. Smaller leaves that are dark green. Lower leaves yellow and die. Add chemical fertilizer containing P. Affected leaves will not show recovery but new growth will apear normal.
POTASSIUM (K)
Affected plants are usually tallest and appear to be most vigorous. Necrotic spots form on lower leaves. Red stems. Leaves appear pale or yellow. Add chemical fertilizer containing K.
CALCIUM (Ca)
Lack of calcium in the soil results in the soil becoming too acid. This leads to Mg or Fe deficiency or very slow stunted growth. Treat by foliar feeding with one teaspoon of dolomatic lime per quart of water until condition improves.
SULFER (S)
Plants suffering from S definciencies exhibit yellowing of new growth. Mix one tablespoon of Epsom salts per gallon of water until condition improves.
MAGNESIUM (Mg)
Lower leaves yellow and may even turn white while veins remain dark green. Blades die and curl upward.
IRON (Fe)
Leaves on growing shoots turn pale and veins remain dark green. pH imbalances make iron insoluble. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Fe or rusty water.
MANGANESE (Mn)
Necrotic and yellow spots form on top leaves. Mn deficiency occurs when large amounts of Mg are present in the soil. Foliar feed with any chemical fertilizer containing Mn.
BORON (B)
Growing shoots turn grey or die. Growing shoots appear burnt. Treat with one teaspoon of Boric acid (sold as eyewash) per gallon of water.
MOLYBDENUM (Mb)
Yellowing of middle leaves. Foliar feed with chemical fertilizer containing Mb.
ZINC (Zn)
White areas form at leaf tips and between veins. Occurs in alkaline soils. Zn deficiency can be treated by burying galvanized nails in the soil. Chemical fertilizer containing Zn can also be used.
OVER FERTILIZATION
Causes leaf tips to appear yellow or burnt. To correct soil should be flushed with three gallons of water per one gallon of soil.

Its normal.....sometimes cold can lock out P and then u will see purple in the leaves also...but not in ur case.

I was just reading a really long thread over at ic mag about this. I have the same issue but with older vegging plants. I'm trying to fix it before I get yellowing. Here's what people over there were saying, your plant essentially can't leave certain forms of nitrogen in the soil, so it just keeps taking it in regardless of needs. Some folks believe it's like shoving a rocket in your plants ass, so when it grows unevenly fast you get curled leaves that won't lie flat and purpling stems as the nitrogen blocks out the phosphorus and helps purple up your stems. Purp genetics apparently show up in flowering, so if you don't have a purple gened plant, purple isn't great. Some people have recommended feeding way less early on. I think I'm going to try flushing my girls and seeing what happens in a couple days.

Good turn around Gunnar. Did you just adjust the ph in your water to change the ph in your medium? I've seen others flush with adjusted water to change ph.

Gunnar good insight. True. I will definitely keep that in mind myself. No that I think of it. My ventilated air was being ran into the same room as my grow and was not receiving fresh air. PH can definitely be affected like this. FRESH AIR!

very typical responses to a fair question from a de facto competent grower, the plants are establishing and they are on the pick up as can be seen by the darker N zone on the leaf crenellations, good to be observant tho, ..... purple from P def/LO would be on the main stem and the plants will look tired, they need P to make ATP
