Purple stem. Deficiency or strain?

So I'm having this issue with one of my outdoor plants. The stem is purplish. The strain is Tangie. It's always had some purple on the stem ever since she was small but now it seems to be more pronounced. I recently fed them for the first time in a while. I have her in a 7gl smart pot and she's been outdoors since may15. Wondering if it might be rootbound sine it also has slowed growth. Thanks for your help. Probably purple because of the strain. I've seen purple plants that have stems like that. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but the times I've seen stems turn purple due to distress, the purple usually appears in streaks running down the stem as opposed to your solid purple stems.

You just got some purps! :bigjoint:

In my research and mild experience with that; is a stress response. Not exactly a bad thing imo as long as its doesn't show any other signs of deficiencies. I grew a kryptonite once during winter, open the window next to my box and she mildly purped out. Very evident in the stems.
