Purple Kush in BC

I'm from BC, and here where im from it seems theres only 4 types of weed.
theres the one that everyone smokes, and is like 70% of the weed here
purple kush and everyone loves it because its so strong.

Ive been smoking for 3 years (im 1 and i got introduced to purple kush 2 years ago. before that the weeds i got were weaker, much much more sativa dominant. i don't know one person from here who doesn't think purple kush is the best weed around, But i'm like the only one who doesn't like smoking it.

its acually wayy to powerful, like every other type of weed i can hotbox a car with 6 joints between 5 ppl. but with purple 1 or 2 joints between 2 or 3 ppl and im finished. Lol i dont understand how people like it, cuz its so heavily indica everyone immediately gets tired and goes home seperately and eats. me and my friends got 30$ worth (quarter ounce) and only ended smoking like a a quarter of the bag out of a water bong. and we were all so fucked everyone went home and 1 person puked cuz he got too high.

and i sat around at home watchin movies like borat laughin my ass off. but it ruined my day cuz i was high and didnt wanna move do to the high indica percent for about 8 hours. it was strong shit lol.

aanother night i smoked a quarter of an ounce with a few friends of sativa dominant weed and we all still hung out..

Now i had never smoked weed from anywhere from BC, and i went down to cali to visit my cousin. and he had always told me how great the weed was and how fucked you get. So i arrive at cali, and we go to buy a bag. we pay 70$ for a quarter ounce??? like wtf??

so after all these storys and these HUGE prices, i expect the weed to be spectacular. we smoke a joint, and i feel slightly lightheaded and relaxed.. and he was goin on about how fucked he is and how he told me about how great it was.. and i acually thought he was jokin, and was like lol is this joint like the scraps or sumthin.. lol get out weed out. and he has a straight face and is like what are u talkin about.. well we smoke another joint, and its mildly effectin me, but he's completely fucked somehow..

compared to the moderate to me sativa dominant strains in BC, this stuff was about 4 times weaker. and it felt like those 2 joints were like half a joint between us. compared to the kush id say about 8 or 10 times weaker.

I think purple kush from where im from is too powerful and isn't something you wanna smoke if you want to do anything.

but is other weed really that much less powerful?

..is anyone gonna comment?

I wish I had that problem! Too strong is never a complaint in my eyes..

Although I know what ya mean, was smoking bags of Jack Herer and was zombied all day, then I'd get a nice Sativa and wake myself up!

If ya can, try get both Sativa and Indica (hang onto some purp and try find Sativa) and start out with sativa, and gradually (through cocktails even) change from Sativa to Indica, that way you get both sides of it, as you want them. Nice head high at the start and not sleepy, then move onto the heavy Indica and knock yourselves out before bed! Works a treat!

I dunno, the purple kush here is just sooo well grown it completely fucks EVERYONE up.

like everyone i know gets fucked outa there tree when u split a joint bewteen a few ppl.

it'll get you fucked in every single way, huge head high, but giant body high that makes u not wanna move. but u have to cuz u get giant food cravings and sit around high for like 6 hours and then pass out lol.

the other kinds here i can stay awake.

im from b.c. aswell and purple kush is a big hit up here the potency kinda wore off after i smoked a few oz. after a few oz of any weed you start to get a tolerence but i definetly smoke it and grow it for the taste.

yah. it's wayyy to indica dominant for my taste.

Hey Guys. I've Lived in British Columbia my whole life and i love the strong purple kush we have here but i agree it can make you usless. I have found some amazing green crack that seems the get me just as high as the purple kush but the green crack is more of a mental euphoric buzz that allows you to do things! Latly ive been smoking Rockstar bubba kush and it seems to have the perfect balance of head high and body stoned. The bubba kush and green crack and purple kush seem to be the easiest strains to find here and there all bomb. Im in the process of growing some purple kush in a pc tower (live with my mom) and im excited to see how the purple kush tastes when it is organically grown with Perfectly manicured buds and cured. i can tell the people who grow commercial kush here leave alot of leaves on that i would have maicured off. Also i think most of it is grown outdoor becuase i find some beautiful purple kush seeds. i have had lots of times where i have to stop smoking weed outa my bong because im so high i couldn't Finish (snap the bowl) your basically just overwhelmed with like 1-2 hits.

purple kush and green crack...both on my top 10 list. i know what you mean about the pk. it only comes around here once in a while so it's a real treat when it does, but if i had to smoke that shit every day i would just be a drooly mutant all day. green crack was real good. had some mailed from the west coast. best thing for you to do is find some seeds or clones of some stuff that's more your style. maybe make a pk cross with some green crack. now THAT would be some shit i'd like to try.

lmao! i just gained 15 pounds thanks to purple kush i gotta agree with you marine not one of my favorites, I love bomb nugz but if i smoked purple kush for two years id be round.
check out some good Candy kush if you get the chance marine you wont be disappointed and you dont wanna eat the person next to you then take a nap! then wake up eat some more then go back to sleep.

i just got some bc purple kush seeds i dont find the ganj too powerfull but i love indica and i am a very heavy smoker. smoke lots of any strain and u build up a tolerance to it

sometimes i dont liek smoking it during the day...it makes me a lil depressed and sleepy

but i do like it for nitetime meds

I got a Purple Kush cut last month, vegged it and took a few cuts before flowering her....im hoping its like what the OP described, it will be a hit for my patients if it is.

if its legit it should be but like any strain put love into it it will love you back.

Whenever I feel angry, depressed, hung-over, strung-out, or anything unpleasant WEED is my savior. Whether watching tv, a funny movie, playing video-games, having straight buttsex, doesn't matter. Everyday I try and wrap my mind around how anyone could question it's medical and social merit. I still hear Americans spouting shit about how bad it is for your mind, if it's good for you why is it illegal. Absolute bullshit, every word of it.. I don't hide my thoughts about the positive nature of marijuana from anyone, and it needs to be asserted that it is very good for you. I feel comfortable knowing I will have a higher life expectancy, and a much smaller chance of a variety of cancers and degenerative diseases. It is our job to show this to our friends and families and help them understand the positive lifestyle in which we participate, we all need to help indoctrinate society into fully understanding the healthiest substance instead of destroying their livers with the most prevalent substance (alcohol). I have had to quit smoking weed for 3 weeks thus far to pass an upcoming drug test, and I may have to quit smoking for up to another 3 weeks.. I am not having withdrawals, but I can tell you life with marijuana far succeeds life without..

Fuck all the media and prejudice against us, does anyone find it the least annoying that marijuana, the least harmful substance can be detected up to a month after we smoke, while crack and heroine last at most 3 days? Yet when applying for a job they are treated the same; even though we may be able to smoke practically legally here in B.C., we need to push our government so these crimes against our rights are abolished and people can grow their own damn medicine instead of paying the street price!
