Flower Week 4 Day 4

For the fuck of it. I think the Malawi cross is finishing her stretch. The OTH is staying surprisingly short, stretching slowly. Probably because it’s a extra-long-flowering strain. I’m just going to let them breed au naturel. If I get Haze pollen in anything even after I clean up, I’ll just have an interesting surprise cross to work with.

The PHM might still stretch for a couple of weeks.

The lower leaves on the OTH male are starting to purple a bit, and the PHM is deepening its purple a bit more. I think I might actually have a pure purple backcross. At least, purple dominant. And if I save the pollen and BX at least once more, then start inbreeding, I should be set.

Showing the same, very faint tinge that marked the PHxM. I dunno if you can see it well yet through a lens.

I’m super excited. I’m breeding for Purple Haze. I’m actually cool with the added Malawi folded in there. I think it makes it unique and it doesn’t have to be 100% Haze as long as it’s mostly Haze (Aiming for BX2, but if the BX1 yields an acceptable pheno, I might even work that into my own Purple Haze line, giving proper credit to ACE & Oldtimer) but 100% Sativa.

Really nice grow OD....Gotta love the name "Southern Comfort". I am really digging the thin leaf sats and how the growing tips look right now. ..can't wait for the buds to develop and some cured shots down the road.

@ThermalRider, when you say that the your green haze x Malawi was fantastic smoke after a good cure, how long did you cure it to reach that point?

That SoCo is a creation of Shoreline Genetics. It’s pretty dank. Like pine, diesel, lemon, and earthy pungence with an almost electric kind of sharp sour not that softens into the earthiness at the end of it. So far, from leaf rub, anyway. We’re only a week into flower.

The smoke/effect is great off the bat, just saying don't make final judgment till after a 4 month cure as it keeps improving.. Definitely lung expando action gets stronger with a good cure..

I know this is organics forum but this DWC with organic nutes as best as I could..

BTW a gave a good friend of mine a joint, he's not a heavy smoker he said he took one hit and went downstairs to work on basement remodel. He said he had to cut a stud 3 times to get the cut right, then he gave up for the evening..!

Budsites forming. The OTH is beginning to form stigmas at every internode. Pretty sure the Malawi is mostly done stretching. I think the same for the OTH, but I’m not fully sure.

Light Cycle dropped to 10/14.
