Purple Haze Auto Grow

Hey everyone,
It's been a very long time since I've popped a bean, cloned a cut, or worried about trichrome color..... But the itch has returned!!

A buddy is giving me some Purple Haze Auto Beans. They're supposed to be 90 days from sprout to chop, but I don't even know the breeder yet........

Anyway, I plan on doing these outdoor, which I've always had pretty good luck at, but I've never went Auto before. I know you don't top or FIM autos, so I will be using LST thru out to keep it low and as even as possible. So....that's what brings me back to this lovely site, I've been away from for too long!!! Any advice on autos, outdoor, or leaning towards organic....feel free to post away!!!

Just wanted to say Hey, and see who's still around from the old days....I'll be back when I get these beans germinated ;)

You can top, FIM, transplant, LST autos. They can be treated the same as photos as long as they are healthy. Most people have issues with that part so that's why people say you can't or shouldn't.

I think it's more of laziness than anything. People will just roll with old outdated info rather than read and research stuff. So the stigmas just keep going and going and with all the new hrowers, they just take on a life of their own.

That's part of it too. People just repeat information they hear, regardless if it's right or not.

Hi everyone, Thanks for the replies!! Yes, like I said in post, it's been probably 6 yrs since I've grown, and have never grown Autos....so correct I have no research done on them yet, but as my old post here show, I'm definitely not scared to do my research.....

I've never been a fan of topping, more prefer LST, and just staking them down to the ground to keep low profiles....

The other part is cloning autos.... I've read some have had luck and others haven't. I'm not as worried about cloning these, as I have these 5 auto seeds on deck and already placed an order from Attitude for another order of beans. I'll show them off when they arrive ;)

Hopefully I can learn more about Autos with this grow and make some new friends here along the way !!!

that's a shame. Depending how how dry your fall weather is -- or I suppose if you have a greenhouse or good cover -- you might have time to try again.

Nah unfortunately at this time of year, I'd be pushing it to get anything else outdoor this year....but I did just get my new 1000 watt digital switchable ballast, and water farms outta the storage closet, next is my tent and equipment lol....I'm ready to setup for fall already lol. I'll keep this posted as more develops......but for now here's a quick shot of the sole survivor....

Update on the girl, although stunted at first, I think she will still produce some good bud.
First harvest approaching in over 5 years, and first time doing an auto flower....what do you guys think???

Any thoughts or opinions, please share, haven't had much attention here, I may just stop posting anything here

I though topping was considered a form of LST.

Some more close ups from last night, I'm thinking it's still too clear on the trichs....

Anybody have any input ... With this being my first auto, I'm not sure how fast the progress will happen, so I'm basically scoping her everyday on every bud.
