We'll the ghosts got chopped down at day 65. Was hard to get control of the temps during the last few weeks, and some fox tailing started, so there was some white pistils, but alot of the growth underneath looked finished so I pulled them. Trichs looked cloudy, with a few Amber's scattered around.

Transplanted the other four plants last night. Some took better then others but they are all coming around.

How s the yield looking on the Ghost now that it's chopped?
I'm thinking of running this strain next.

@LowAnkle

They been hanging now about 5 days, right around 22c/55%rh. Going to trim them tonight, and weigh to get a rough idea of yield. The outsides starting to get getting cripsy to the touch, and a slight crack of the stems. Gonna jar, with hopes of 65 after a few hours.

Will update ya later tonight.

I’m curious as to why you trim after drying?

@DankTankerous,

I was aiming for a longer dry time, so I left a lot of sugar/smaller fan leaves on while I dried. I removed most of the larger fan leaves though, more towards the bottom. I had the two plants, on one I clipped all the aux shoots from the main stem and hung individually, the other plant I cut to the two tops from the base of the plant leaving all aux shoots attached to the main stems ( helped slow down the drying process a bit ). I also find when some of the sugar/fan leaves are still attached they will droop and hang over the buds which also provides an extra bit of moisture until the leaves become crispy.

Some seen to be ready for jars now. Gonna do a final trim on some, and jar up for a while. Here's a snap of one that is pretty much dried out. Still needs another small trim in areas.

I guess what I’m getting at, is does that help not to dry it out too quickly so you don’t get the chlorophyll taste?

Not to mention it smells alot stronger from the very beginning of the cure, I've done it side by side and trim after dry is always better, faster. Seems more sticky 2.
Thank you for the info, I’ll definitely be doing that on my next harvest. I could never find out why they tell you to trim and then let dry for two weeks. After 7 days they’re fucking crispy and after curing my bud for a month they smell like vegetation. I really hate all the misinformation and bull shit, I’ve been on Rollitup for a long time and there is so much bs. Thanks again for the good info

Bro I was just telling a friend about all the B.S. on the web from noobs who just read and parrot a bunch of b.s., that they have no real life experience With what so ever.

If you haven't grown for more than 5 years stfu and don't give advice. Lol
I'm at 13 or 14 now.

You'll need some discernment to navigate thru all the shit piles on the web.

When I started growing,
buying seeds wasn't even a option, high times magazine had seeds for sell but didn't ship to USA.

So if u got a hold of some sweet light green brick weed, that had a good buzz, u better keep the seeds that arnt crushed... lmao

I learned pretty much all these internet terms like "LST",
from old schoolers way back, it started from tieing the plants to the ground so choppers wouldn't spot them.

Even if we didn't understand it fully back then we just knew it made the plant grow something like a new "plant" from the main stem. And we knew it was bad ass, yielded more etc. Started calling it bonsai ing the plant.

I knew a guy in his 70s like 15 years ago, old grower, swore by spraying coca cola on his buds, said thc is nothing but sugar.

I thought he was crazy at first. Untill I said fk it and tried it for my self.(He always had the best)
Def had good results. Then years later we hear about mollasses. Lol

People are way way to technical now, and all it does is cause stress on new growers. And make these noobs have a inflated oversized head, in reality they dumb ass hell.

And being over cautious is a good way to fk up many things in life, from grows to fights. And etc..
Might as well be diagnosed with OCD. Or as a hypochondriac.
"Oh no a yellow leaf, I better research this for a year, ....she must need more food..... 5 days later and you've overdosed your plant for no reason".

You don't have to have true understanding, like needing a fking horticulture degree, to grow the best bud around. Ppl used to think the THC drains down the plant after u hung it 2. So what if they did think that.!
Fact is hang drying the full plant made it better at a faster rate of time.

Another thing, I've never ever known one person who has had a pot plant actually die from them not researching enough.
Lil Kids grew it, b4 the internet was around.
So just have confidence in YOUR own judgment brother, and ignore all the time lines given on the web, a plant will even most likely fix it's self if worst comes to worst. (They can adapt to one's shit ball conditions.)

I've thrown weight into the back of old dusty barn vehicles to dry, not separated or shit, dank weed,...minimal mold. (Do what u gotta do in the outlaw days)

lol there is no specific dry time, there dry when there fking dry and smokeable lmao ur drying spot is different than joes.
Not hard for som1 who smoked weed b4 they grew it, to figure the right time to bag or jar it up.(I jar myn when the weed, will not burn good, untill the 3rd or 4th light of the pipe, after that point u start getting better tokes) I know itll continue to dry over its life in the jar, and itll regulate its self to the perfect smoking moisture level in about a week or two. It will taste phenomenal. Learned that from my judgement not some random dude set of rules.

The more simple the better the nugs IME.

Sorry for the rant lmao it's directed to all the idiots on the web.

No thank you for the rant it was great comedic relief. I have thought about getting off Instagram because I feel like you’re not getting the whole picture of the plants life, with mistakes and what not. I have had 4 grows under my belt, 3 in a comp case. Lol it was fun as hell though. One thing I love about growing is the creativity. Keep on keeping on, and I will too.

Edit: I have 4 grows but I’m still a fucking noob but I feel like I should be so far ahead. Btw I learned you can read all you want but you really start learning when you grow. Whole different ball game

Lmao I was ripped last night hahaha
Yea I found that out myself when it came to moonshine. The more I read the more complicated it seemed.
Found out it's easy as pie to make likker after i fired the still up my self, And all the B.S. I was reading was not needed in any way.

I hear you on the instagram.
These weed forums are the only social media I'm apart of. Lol

Hey guys after 8 days hanging, few days in jars holding at 59% humidity with the odd burp , I weighed them up and got 6.2 oz off the two plants. Rough idea anyway, as I'm sure I'll lose a few more grams off total weight during the cure.

This could be average, below or above .. but I could hardly give a fuck as long as the quality is there. The only competition I have is between my last and current crop and as long as I continue to improve with each grow I am happy.

Gonna get the scrog net installed, top the next 4 plants and let them start filling up the screen before flip.

Beautiful. Nice and dense looking @LowAnkle. They look good and cured? How long ya keep them in jars for? How's the high do you find?

I thought about picking up TN Kush, but ultimately decided on the ghost instead. They have many strains I would like to run TN Kush, LVTK, Pure animal, Cheap thrills, pure irene. So many different strains, from different breeders but the pockets are a little dry to spend too much on seeds. We have 4 going now, so that'll hold me over until the next seed purchase. Out of the 4 going now, I have high hopes for the cindy xx and Alien og. I'll be looking out for some good Chem genetics next purchase, any advice on breeders? Top dawg, Bodhi, Dr G?

What else you got going in your room ?

The high on TN Kush is strong and Narcotic, it can be a true couch lock strain. Right now I got 2 doc holiday and 2 humble pie clones indoor one of the humble pies is getting treated with Collidal silver right now, for my first true strain by planned breeding. And I got 4 outdoor monsters, 1 TN Kush and 2 Humble pies, and a obi wan og from ocean grown, which is a breeder I like along with green point(got alot of chem in GP gear), dungeons vault Genetics, In just now got a pack from ONI seeds, I got 3 papaya, they look pretty promising. Top dawg and bodhi def. are both good 2, I'm not familiar with Dr. G..... yet lol
From CV I got LVTK, TK, TK#2, PRK,and Ghost OG.
I hear u on the cost of seeds, I grew up on welfare, and could never bring myself to pay 100 for 5 fems. Lol so I got prolly 3,000 dollars worth of seeds, I didn't pay a penny for.
Edit: I leave em in the jars for 9 months if I could ain't got that much product untill end of September tho lol that TK was in the jar for over a month in that pic.
