Pruning Question (pics)

hey guys, I've got this plant topped and lst'd under cfls and it's going great so far, only problem is the larger fan leaves are blocking most of the light to the plant, I've been tucking them under the smaller leaves to try to keep them outta the way but they still hog most of the light.
So would it be ok to just cut off the biggest leaves to let the rest of the plant have more light?

ok I'll leave them, I thought if I cut them off the smaller leaves would grow larger and faster to replace them

While I've got this thread open I got one more question, I transplanted this plant not too long ago from the same size pot you can see in the background, I can already see roots coming out the drainage holes, is this ok or is already needing a larger pot?

I would say leave 'em alone the plant uses bigger leaves to produce more sugars anyways so it's not harm. In the other hand if you prune your plant has to heal & she uses less stomatas to continue a strong photosynthesis process

The plant looks spot on dude what is the problem leave her be she has nice tight internodes no need to prune anything keep on doing what you are doing and this plant will produce nice dence nugs.keep the light has close has possible you can see from the picture that the plant is getting all the light it needs so leave the plant to do it's own thing i would only prune if any dead or damaged leaves appear.go on you tube on the thc labs dvd's there he will exsplain in more detail.

cheers tyke I'll leave her be then,
I couldn't find thc labs on youtube? I've watched the whole see more buds series, ultimate grow, I grow chronic and read more buds for less tho so I think I'll be ok ;)

Hey, those are nice plants you're growing. I follow the middle path: if a huge fan is blocking out light to several buds I remove the fan; but I never remove more than 3-4 during flowering (and NEVER in vegetative) because they exist for a reason, to provide more sugar and growth to the plant in all stages of life.

i just push the leaves out of the way of the bud sites from the start (veg and flower) whenever i am in the grow room. this allows direct light without cutting up the leaves. after a while of doing this the bud shoot is taller than the big ass leaf covering it. seems to work for me.

nice looking plant!!
