Pruning during flowering?

It seems there are two very different views on this topic. But I am yet to find which one is right..

Should I prune away a few leaves to better expose the bud sites? My understanding is that its the leaves not the buds that absorb the light. Wouldnt trimming leaves do more damage than good?

Im in week 5 of flowering.. any help would be great

here are you're responses: most people will say DONT TOUCH!! some will say, I TRIM ALL THE TIME NO PROBLEM!!.

I'm in the same boat as you right now, I've got a scrog goin and there's buds everywhere. I've been tucking back leaves when I can, but I have trimmed many leaves since flowering. It recovers pretty quickly, like a day or two. I'm going on week 4 now, and i'm not trimming as much.. but if there are big leaves in the way of a couple bud sites i'll just pinch it off.

ive trimmed a couple huge fan leaves off and the colas popped right up where the fan leaves use to be. Over a couple days of course. Plant seemed to be fine

Dude.. I always trim to lower 1/3 of the plant... been doing it since it's beenin flowering... cuz it's a crazy bush and loves growing leaves all over.

And every single time i trim it, growth is better than it was the week before. + allows light to get deeper in.. and bigger buds.

I am also in week5, and asked the same question last week.
from the replys i peaced together the best bet is to just trim 2 or 3 YELLOW leaves off each time u water.

so i have been doing this, seems to be going well but i would love to chop a few more away..

I typically trim dead leaves so the plant doesn't send any nutrients to the those, but keep all the healthy looking ones.
