Pruning and stretching

Will pruning lower limbs off my 4ft plants that are 2 weeks into flowering cause them to stretch more than normal?

Man- if your light is as high as it can go (or close to it) - set some stakes in those pots and start bending those tops over before it's too late!

And. No, pruning lower limbs won't change stretch. But. Pruning lower limbs WILL have a positive impact on your finish, as long as all else goes well :). At first, I was like...no- there are buds on this branches and I can't cut them off!

Then I cut, trimmed, cured...and realized how little there actually was down there.

And now? I don't go crazy. But lower branches don't stick around.

Looks like you have enough plants to "risk" an experiment ;)

Beautiful! What will you do for supports?
I'm just gonna throw some stakes in and tie limbs off. They've had a fan on them so they have decent strength. I've seen the same exact genetics grown in coco n untopped and they were about 6ft and didn't need to be staked at all.

I have another 8 inches to go up on the light and the blue dream and one pheno of gummy bears and the gorilla cookies won't get much more than 4 inches higher. So it's really the two middle gummy bears I'm not sure how much more they will go exactly but I do know when in 5 gallon pots and put in at 3 ft and untopped they gain around 2 ft in hieght. I've seen all the genetics flowered at my buds grow that I got my clones from. Would you recommend tying the stretchier ones back? Thanks for the help!

Sorry I didn't see this before!!
Yes- I would have tied them back and moved them to the edge of the light so the shortest plants were in the center...but I'm sure you figured that out by now ;)

How's the grow? It's been a couple of weeks ?

Hey there! They didn't end up stretching too much! The tallest finished their upward growth around 5 ft n everything fits well under the light. They are starting week 5 n have healthy pistil bunches. They should start moving on to the nug phase in the next week! I'll post pictures when the light comes on later!

You might consider deleting some (like, at least a few. Don't go crazy!) low branches on those ladies- your final colas should thank you ;)
