Prune or Not to Prune

Bunch of talk both ways on taking off Fan Leaves.

Some say no because they help feed the plant.

Was listening to one yesterday you prune other plants for a bigger harvest.

My feeling is there is a good medium. I took a few Fan Leaves off and will probably take a few more.

Plants will always grow more leaves than they need.
Yes, each leaf helps generate energy for that specific node, but that doesn't mean removing the leaf removes the entire growth potential of that node.

New video by Grass In Class. Basically, he shows a fan leaf rubbing a bud site & fucking it up. This is a solid example supporting defoliation.

If you have a strain that responds well to it, will it do any better or worse than if it was grown to a certain standard? I personally leave them be to stay safe. I can always learn something new though. Sorry if it is rude to ask upon a asked question, thought it might help.

So far I see it slows down on fan leaf growth in flower to where you can pluck a leaf here and there. 80% of sucker like nodes left on through veg, turned into main sites or stems. Lst/ Scrogging turns lots of those fan leaves side ways anyway.
