Propogation Mat?

I tried a propagation mat on some known viable seeds, and it killed every single one of them. I don't trust trying the thing on clones, seems to get the soil too hot. I even tried to put a dvd case on each side between the mat and the flat, hoping to gain some airflow, and cool it down a bit.

propagation mats should be used with a temperature controller. Otherwise you cannot control the temp

Where do I get one of those? I would assume that the grow store would have tried to sell me one.

uhh yes they can, but roots faster with it since it sets up the optimal temp env (warm feet) especially important in cooler areas.
On the other hand TVs and computers can also work.

can be done without even the way your granma used to do it on window sill will take longer
heat mat an controller is like why walk if you can ride

you fried them without controller prolly way over 100degs dont know whut temp is max on the thing
it maxed out wit nutin telling it to cut back = cooking
