Propagator and humidity

Hi.

When should i take seedlings out of a propagator?

I took mine out 2 days after the seedlings appeared, but they were falling over because the grow environment with lights and a fan is very very dry. I put them back in propagator, and within a day they recovered.

When should i be taking them out and in the fan?? (fan is 6" and on low setting, placed over 3' away) or... should i work on trying to humidify the grow room? If so, how? I think i would need to enclose the space properly for a start.

You need to harden them off before you try rushing them from HIGH humidity into low.

Do you have air vents in your prop area?

Here is a link to my propagation section of my thread.

Pages 1 - 4

I prop for around 10 days with seedlings doing various things to harden them off. Making air holes in the prop lids that i use.
Then keeping prop lids off at night to get used to lower RH then taking them off for a few hours during day times etc.

Check my thread and you can see for yourself

Hope this helps
