"propagated" clones to soil...? advice wanted.

Hi all , I've recently purchased a groclone propagation machine, and in my utter noobishness didn't realize the possible difficulty i would face in planting them in soil. The only clones I have experience with have been rooted in rock wool which is easily placed in soil, but what will i do with the bare roots? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I would pot them into a small pot to begin with and repot into a larger pot later.

With the initial pot I would have it sitting in a tub of water - dangle the roots of the clone into the pot and slowly add the soil, letting it sink and settle around the roots.

After a week (or so) the roots should have filled the small pot and you can repot into the final (large) pot.

Going through this two stage process minimises any root damage.

G.O.D.

...very easy, I wrap my roots around the stem, poke my finger into some premoisten soil about 1 inch deep (Fox Farm's Ocean Forest for me)....place your roots as far to the bottom of your hole as possibe while you push your clone down into the hole....then backfill....try not to compact your soil too much....good luck, I have 100% success transplanting into soil from ezcloner.
