Prop 19 --> effects price in cali --> effects price nation wide?

ok guys I have been growing for about 2 years and have been doing so with great success. I currently live on the east coast but I am planning to move to colorado in the next two years.
Im sure you all have heard the predictions about the price of weed dropping to about 10% of the current 300-400$ range after proposition 19 is passed in california.

My question is: How will the massive decrease in the price of weed effect the rest of the US and especially the east coast?

how long will it take for the rest of the states to feel this effect?

will I still be able to get a good price on bud mailed back east?

will I still be able to sell pounds in colorado for 3000?

Im very scared at the effects this may have on me and many members of this community.

so what do you guys think?

all input is welcome and remember to have a great day!

WOW!!!.......I would be ecstatic to you get what you guys are getting. Here in Montana most sell OZs of tasty organic for $225-$250 so I have to compete with those prices. Then again cost of living is ALOT lower. Maybe I should take some of my meds to Cali and sell to the clubs :p or ship back east......JK!!! I would never take a chance like that, when I'm finally all legal.

i hear the midwest is the absolute worst for weed prices. and no funk either tons of mids and kb. got a couple buds out that way and they are always bitchin about payin 20 a gram all the way up. sucks!

I grew up in asheville NC (most heady town east of the mississippi) and it had the best nugget! I went six hours away for college and it was a totally different world. people bullshit mad hard. especially in small towns

and as far as this thread is concerned, the legalization bill probably wont stimulate a truly regulated market until the federal government lifts the ban to trade this substance.

when that happens then the prices will drop in california dramatically.

the prices everywhere else will stay high until their own cannabis market system is established.

but in california the prices could drop as much as 200% making indoor growing completely useless to consumers.

sorry indoor growers but its true, outdoor growing can be done more cheaply with the same quality if done correctly.

I mean seriously just look at stickyscizzors . . . 400 a zip. for some indoor bud that people consider superior, when there's outdoor bud that looks like this: http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t267/poplars/bud 10/Picture197.jpg

so if real market competition happened here.... lets just take me and sticky scizzors for example.

he sells his shit for 400 an z. as mine is of virtually the same quality potentially better, people will still buy mine over his if it's cheaper in ANY way.

so I'm an outdoor grower remember? this whole grow costs around 200 dollars TOTAL. + manual labor. so based on this I can drop my prices to at minimum 200, I could go even lower down to 120 an oz if I wanted to.

and you would go out of business trying to sell people that for 400 a zip when my stuff is in all stores selling for 150 a zip at same quality!!!

so you see my point? true legalized market will not allow prices to flow this high, naturally.

I have to agree with you there.I started growing because of the ridiculous price of 400 a oz.

People tend to pay the most for what is least available.

Also legalization causes some problems as well for outdoor growers... how do they keep their plant from getting pollinated when it's being grown every where?

they'll have to establish regulations for this otherwise we'll all have to move to greenhouses....

all you can hope for at that moment is that people use common sense with cannabis and dont keep males outside...

how can anyone expect any type of price drop when the main push here is to TAX it?

any price drop will be made up in taxes.

if you pay 60 today, you will pay 60 tomorrow.

there is NO reason to lower anything.

more stoner pipe dreams.

An O in Florida of krip goes for 350-400 so I don't know what that dude is talking about.

I started to grow because I rely on it to chase away my anxiety and my dealer of 2 years up and quit.

Those that are worried about prices dropping and spoiling their income? LOL Too bad. I hope prices do go down.

thank you. its hard to get 3700 in nor cal I know what you mean Usually I let it go for 3400 but when I get it nice and purple they pay 3700. I found a club in fresno called earth source they pay pretty nice and its only a hour south. just south enough to have that nasty weed lol I went in there and they offered me a free gram or a cookie and I took a look at there weed and was like shoot that cookie lol

brotha I sell my purp for 220 a ounce I think thats fair. I agree with you anything over 250 is greedy. im not hating on the prices going down if they do cause I know that cannabis really helps people. if the prices do drop and the indoor isnt worth growing anymore I will go to the east cost and pick up another product. try and legalize coke lol
