Proof That a Democracy Does Not Work

Maybe not, BUT the POTUS does nominate judges to the SCOTUS. And that my friend does have a daily impact on us all.
How are the Supremes any different? They all voted Obamacare is a tax. Even though Obama said it wasn't. Congress wouldn't even had passed it had they knew it was a tax. That's highly unethical. If the Supremes are really about checks and balances, they would've told Dumbo it's unconstitutional because it's not a tax. Then Dummy coud've sent it through the rounds as a tax and watched his baby crash and burn. The Supremes are bought and paid for too, they're puppets too, no differeny than Tiger Woods.

Your damn right it's all about me and my family, who the fuck are you to question me. And to be honest, now I could give a rats ass what you respect.

In my opinion, there are too many Ron Paul dolts that are so close minded and stubborn, they can't distinguish fantasy from reality.
There is no fucking way in the world Ron Paul could have won the nomination, but people like you cannot except that and are bitter to anyone that points it out.

Would he have been the best choice, yes but he is NOT a fucking choice dude, so get the fuck over it, your constant whining and ridicule of others who disagree will not change a damn thing.

So you worry about you and yours and mind your own fucking business when it comes to mine.
sig worthy . . .what a douche

and pretty much any politician is a POS, might as well listen to the one that lies the least, oh and i have no idea whom that is . . .

Welcome to the wonderful fantasy world of Clayton the mixed race racist. Dude has diarrhea of the mouth, every time he opens it there's a tsunami of bullshit.

Hey Clayton, I remember you asking about getting the colors to really pop in your plants. Here's a free tip:
Mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar to every gallon of water and water heavily with that solution.

How funny is it that only you Americans give a hoot about politics on this forum? Check out the Aussie, Irish, UK etc threads and the topic of conversation is WEED and/or getting high. No wonder your country is so royally fucked.

That is because none of the countries you listed mean a piddly damn next to the US in economy and politics.

My observation regarding Gary Johnston.

Everyone seems to like him and like his policies...but everyone seems to be saying "I wont vote for him, he can't win".

Does noone else see the inherent irony there?

People won't feel righteous unless they vote for the winner, even if the winner plans on eradicating them. Everyone loves to brag about how they helped pick the winner!

Look how Harper dominates a 3 party system in Canada.

Look how Pena Nieto got elected in Mexico.

Look how fucking Nader handed this shit to Dubya.

Here's the reality of the lefties utopian Democracy.
The will of the people is overruled by it's leaders.
Brought to you by, the DNC.

Brought to you by the GOP beenthere - you seem to have a very selective memory. Booing a solider, claiming that a society should let someone die, and cheering the death penalty.

This is where your stubbornness makes you a knuckledragger, who are you going to vote for, Gary Johnson lol, you might as well stay home and save the gas! And who the hell are you to tell me what is best for my family dude, you are un fucking real.

the unfortunate thing Beenthere is that you really don't know what is best for you and your family. I know you will take issue with that but I have seen your posts, your reasoning, your inability to distinguish what is real from what is conjured by those who have purchased your perceptions and I can presume from that, your capablity to judge.

I am not saying that government knows best, I am saying that you have surrendered your judgement to other groups of very self interested parties without a struggle.

I just finished Potter's book "deadly spin". I suggest you read it with as open mind as you can afford and then come back and tell us that you genuinely know what is best for your family in the light of any newfound understanding you may glean from such a book.

I dare say that there is not a single thing that monied interests want for you to believe that you do not.

The oil industry wants you to believe that there is no global warming, that oil is the only resource capable of sustaining our economy and that pollution is a minor concern.
the Health insurance industry wants you to believe that we have the best health care in the world and it would be endangered by government.
that Obamacare is a government take over
Tort reform will make it all better
"free" competition is the answer to every problem
Those who do not have health care do so by choice - they buy big screen tvs instead of health insurance
The tobacco lobby wishes you to believe that second hand smoke is not dangerous
The fast food industry wishes you to believe that eating fat, sugar and salt is an American right and that there are other reasons for our obesity epidemic

And they all want you to believe that taxes are inhibiting them from offering you a job.
That lawyers and regulation and government is the bain of our existence in America.

The list is long and that list has been embedded in your conciousness through the expenditure of billions upon billions of dollars in PR.

I'm beginning to believe we're a slave race(humanity). All we do is follow, then bicker and fight amongst each other who is the best person to lead us.
Beginning?

where you been? even the most knowlegeable of us are subject to the relentless propaganda that has us believe that government does not know best over how we live our lives - but big business knows full well and it tells us day in and day out. Even the most reluctant of us are slaves of the opinions of those who would have us believe a certain way, a way that is profitable to them. If it happens that your life is temporarily happier holding those believes, great, but it is of no real concern.

Deprave,

You're one of the people here that I enjoy. I think that in some ways were similar, others not so much.

The vid you posted is kinda lame. You seriously gonna pin the words of 1 person to an entire political party? Cmon man, you're better than that. I look at the election process differently than you do. I think I'm more of a realist where you lean
towards idealism.

The reality is this. We all have 2 choices, Obama or Mittens. Yep, I like Johnson too, but in reality it's a wasted vote. Hell, I voted for Frank Zappa in 2 elections, I understand not being happy with either of the 2 possible winning candidates.

As I grew older it finally hit me: it is what it is
While I'm not really excited about either one, they ARE the possible winners. Not Johnson or Paul. Pick
the lesser of 2 evils and get on with life.

Zappa saw through huge amounts of the crap that all surrounds us. We lost a guiding light when he died, I still think of him often.
