hey all, don't know if y'all are on Instagram or not but there are several resellers working through it to get unsuspecting noobs, anyway, they posted a picturing asking for "reps," and I was curious so I emailed them, thought y'all would get a laugh:

Hey Vg,

Let me tell you about our tester program. We offer wholesale pricing on our
Max600 and Max1200 models. After our lights are delivered you have 100 days
to determine if the PMG is right for you. If for any reason at all your
unsatisfied send the light back for a full refund minus the cost of
shipping. Our Max1200 retails for $1789 plus shipping with this offer it
comes to $983.95 plus shipping.
Our company Eco-Lite has been in the LED lighting industry for 33+
years. We have worked closely with department stores, optical stores,
jewelry stores and much more. About 4 years ago NASA released their study of
plant growth in space. We took their data and created a light will full
spectrum that hits peak spectral outputs for BOTH vegetative and flowering
stages. These lights are truly something else. We have received immense
positive feedback and our lead time for orders is 6 weeks. Our company's in
the middle of the industry explosion. With energy costs at what they are at
this point our lights are really the light at the end of the tunnel. You're
able to produce the same quality product at 80% less cost. The users
switching to LED lights are going to be at a heavy advantage when compared
to HPS users. They are able to sell their product for MUCH less while it's
still the same quality which is going to set an uproar in the market. Our
lights are manufactured in the USA with a 3 year warranty, which covers
Diode replacement and any issues you may be worried about having with a LED
light. . Our Max 1200 is 250 watts and comparable to a 1000 watt HPS. On
average our customers switching from HPS to our LED save roughly 80% on
their energy costs as well as still averaging 1.5 lb per Max 1200 per
harvest. Again that is an average between all our users both professionals
and Non-professionals. It all comes down to technique, experience, and
timing.

I hope to get you onboard PMG,

Hey vita - just wondering what to laugh at. Maybe I'm an unsuspecting noob but who knows. Have heard about these lights a bit lately so I did a search and found this thread. What do you mean by there are several resellers out to get the noobs?

Hey vita - just wondering what to laugh at.
1. They claim 125w is equal to 1000w HID. (A ridiculous claim.).

2. They don't say what brand diodes they use. They use a lot of "secret sauce" language about their didoes being "advanced." But, no mention of specifics.

3. They look like SMD5730 strip lights. Anyone can do that for a fraction of the cost. For example, I count 576 diodes in the 600. (The specs say 384 diodes). That's consistent with SMD strips.

I'd lump them in the scammy/over-priced category as Kind, Lush, HydroGrowLED, BlackDog/GrowBlu, PlatinumLED. Those brands are scammy because they sell epi-whatever fixtures at a markup (more than you'd spend buying a direct Chinese import).

These guys seem to be doing something different. But, it doesn't add up. Especially not $1100 for 125w actual.

You can buy seven Cree PAR38 spots (or floods) at Home Depot for $160. That will give you 125w. I grew this under 30% more light.

Why would anyone spend $1100 on something so vague, so much speculation when they could have the same watts for 1/10th the cost? (Or, build their own SMD5730 "panels" which would be easy with just a 12v power supply and some sheets of metal to stick the strips to.).

I saw them at the cup. The light is a joke. All passive cooling. The way that shit is made it will run hotter than a gavita at 1150watts. They just lined a hood.with strips and that's it. No real heat sinks, no fans.

Do you know what LEDs they're using? Are they SMD strips, or individual diodes mounted somehow? Epistar?

Thanks for the responses! After being contacted through IG like the OP, I'm not going to lie, there was some interest and curiosity. Glad it's been halted before any mistakes were made. Thanks again

I hope to get you onboard PMG,
These same people contacted me through instagram now like 3-4 times and I have had to block them. Pretty sure they are some scammy company with absurd claims.
