My first grow is almost complete in central florida and i have some questions about my second female..

1 male

2 females

I read that during flowering its not uncommon for plants' lower leaves to brighten and shrivel due to energy being focused on the budding process but my female seems to be dying. The bottom of the plant is very light and dry but they have all been watered well. is it dying!?

And also, i have noticed some of the stems being purple and the bud on my male(not that it matters) is purple...why? whats it mean?

it is perfectly normal for the lower, underneath leaves to totally shrivel and fall off, but it is looking a teeny bit yellow - read up on yellow leaves if you want - it can be about nutrients and various causes.. but, i would not call it dying from that picture..

your pots look a little small.. i like to go with at least a 5 gallon container..

purple coloring is normal as well - some people really like it - it can be caused by different things - often cold temperatures can do it.. it is not a problem in any way..

also - i wonder why you are keeping the male?

and welcome to RIU! :)

thanks for the info man, this is my first grow and im trying not to get too complicated with all the fertilizers and nutrients levels but i guess ill need to read up. and im keeping the male to harvest and sell to someone who doesnt know the difference and also to sample myself for once.

I was also wondering about seeds, i have found seeds in purp and mgk but none of the seeds germinated, is it because the female plant was never pollinated by a male?
