Sounds like a recipe for success. One big thing is to not overdue it as you said in a previous post trying things when you dont get immediate results. You will see faster results in hydro but patience is the key, before you know it you'll have beast of plants:weed:

:clap:well humidity is now at 50%. i had the window cracked open all the time to keep the room cool. i closed it to keep the humidity in and figured out a better way to cool the room. just by moving the exhaust fan to a better spot. went to just foxfarm grow big. roots are growing back nice and white. moved the light up a bit more. looks like i had a lil heat stress. air temp is at 70 and res temp is at 60 -65. and got more bubbles... being patient and things seem to be on their way up. thanks for all the help everyone. ill keep ya up to date:hump:

well i just found another problem.... my damn ph meter was way off. i think its fucked now.. i was soakin some rockwool cubes so i wanted to lower the ph to 4.5 well my meter kept reading 6.3 so id add mr ph down. and still 6.3... and so on. luckilly i had the test kit that comes with the up and down and WOW i was below 4 and still reading 6.3 on the meter.. needless to say ph might have been an issue lately.and i wouldnt have even known. i mean i was keepin it calibrated and such but apparently it wasnt even working. time to get a new one..... stupid. for now back to the old way of testing

Glad to help chevyman! It's up to you, but I would recommend starting another thread for your journal just because I don't think the title "problems?" is going to attract many visitors LOL! If you do, be sure to post a link here.

Chevyman, do you suppose the humidity was your issue? Give us an update.

What wast he humidity to start with, and what is it now, lights on, and off.

well i dont think that the humidity was the problem. it was at 22% with the lights on and 35% with them off.personally i dont think there was any real problem . i just saw brownish roots and freaked out. and overreacted. also i found out weeks later that my ph tester was all fucked up. so that might have been the issue. also i added more bubbles and have very nice roots now. i have added another humitifier and now can control the humidity very easliy. if i want 50% no prob. if i want lower for buddin i just shut one off. so to sum i t up i would say to always make sure equipment is running right , temps are good, and humidity is good and dont jump to coinclusions. give stuff time to work. heres a new link to my grow journal. its better updated https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/282015-my-first-grow-dwc.html
