I'm sure you have some bag seeds around, am I right? If so, I would save the expensive genetics for now and practice/experiment on bag seeds. Bag seeds are not necessarily "bad". They just have full of unknowns. However, I think this doesn't matter for you yet because you need to hone your gardening skills a bit.

So true appreciate the advice BangPaf I will do so just figured since I had the money why grow something that can take up to 9 months and probably turn out to be a male or hermi when I could get some of the potent shit that's already feminized and only takes two months to Veg.. but I definitely will do some more experiments with bag seeds I did have one from some gas afghan but I used this scots all purpose veg and flower fert on it after 2 weeks and it fell over dead af... does this mean that that slow release fertilizer can not be used for my cannabis plant? also are some strains more strong or resistant to fertilizers or light than others? thanks again for the info good night people talk to you later!

Everything can work, but you probably did it wrong which is really easy with "all purpose slow release fertilizers". Nobody that truly care about their plants will use this stuff!
