This is true. Good idea for the OP to also google bananas too to know what to look for if there visable ones.
Still curious as to if there infact where seeds cos I got fooled couple times when I first started, and they wernt seeds just bracts or inner shell of Calais.
I've always been lucky when ever I jave got nannas and they have been on top of the bud myself, my current strain likes to throw a couple here and there, haven't been seeded yet tho few runs now and haven't been seeded yet fingers crossed.
Yeah most mid to late flower nanners dont pollenize the plants from my experince as well.. i learned this along time ago from the arcata cut train wreck

Well that makes me feel a lot better! Like I said I thought there was a couple seeds, then I found the nanners so I just went ahead and plucked him off the top very carefully and disposed of them.

Yep you found them just as I was going over mine to try find one to take a photo of one for you haha, water is ment to make them inert aswell so good idea to wet whatever you use to plush them but no biggie.
Took me awhile but I found a couple just couldn't get a good pic.
But yeah just pluck them as you find them and hopefully it doesn't end up to seeded, as above wrote mid to late nannas generally don't pollenize and hey if they do the should be fem seeds but will carry the trait of throwing them.
Your buds are looking nice tho.

I think you may be right. I pulled another lower bud and uptown closer examination after what someone, I'm not sure who, said earlier about it possibly being the inside of a bud. The calias shell thing I think? They look a bit like seeds so I'm sure that's all it was.

Hopefully that's all it is, sorry that was a typo on my part I ment calyx not Calais
Immature seed will normally be green/ white and be hardish

Dont pick the buds with the nanners just pick the nanners. Spraying them doesn't make em inert it just weighs em down so pollen not flying around with the fan breeze. If it's a few pick but if they keep coming remove or segregate the problem plant. Nanners dont burst like seeds they just release so mainly affect buds near or under them unless fan spreads it. Stay vigilantly on watch for nanners at this point throughout this grow. A couple seeds is cool but pollination of entire crop sucks balls.

Thank you so much. Yeah I picked about 5 total off of 2 plants. They seem to be ok now. No balls or other nanners. I'll update in the coming days on weather I find more or what.

U were just lucky cus they pollinate in late flower for sure. Plant will not only nanner up if u take to long to harvest but seed up fast. Plants last effort to keep offspring going. When u see a seed u got time before it pollinates but if u see a nanner its already released. Nanners is whats inside the seeds if u open it up.

Never heard of a plant over ripening into a herm.

A seed is the result of a pollinated plant. Nanners are balls that swell with pollen and pop to pollinate.

Luke did u find out what caused the nanners in the first place? Light leak or heat issues, etc. Fix that first. It's not a natural hermie. It was some form of stress. U got multiple plants with nanners so its definitely environmental.

If u dont know now u know.
.
I know bad genetics and environmental stress causes buds to herm.

Doesnt change the fact that seeds are the result of pollination, there aren't nanners in seeds, and an otherwise healthy plant isn't going to herm by being left in the garden to ripen up.

That's actually one of the ways we used to make fem seeds. Some plants with otherwise great genetics and perfect environment will throw out nanners from the buds if given enough time.

Op - I saw the first pic of the calyx and thought that's what you were talking about previously my apologies for any confusion. I'd just pick them off as u see them but unless they are coming in bigger bunches I wouldn't worry too much about it. Feeding too high can definitely cause more nanners tho and could be the cause of what you're seeing

There's a couple things that could have caused them. Definitely light leak. It's in our bathroom that joins to a hallway and our bedroom. We're pretty good about keeping the lights off and the door sealed and shut and everything and sealed under the doors in the windows but every now and then we'll open the door to go to the bathroom in the dark or something and it will leak bite for a couple seconds but two to three times a night every night might have done it. Also there's a time about a week and a half to two weeks ago where we went out of town for 3 days and got back a little late and the plans were extremely dehydrated and wilting. I watered them and they were better but it was a very fastest situation and I thought I might have lost them

I just looked at this thread real quick..how many day are you from flipping the lights to 12/12?
Also ya you have to check for light leaks.. get in your grow room when lights are off and look for any leaks and button it up. Some strains can me more finicky than others and throw nanners at slights light leaks and other plants won't even be fazed by it and can handle light leaks no problem. One thing some people forget to do is gorilla tape up any power stip lights, or other ewquipent that has lights on it like a dehumidifier, any of those little tiny lights can still cause major problems, know a dude who had a bunch of crops throw herms because of a power strip light. Only looked at a few pic but your plants look good.

there aren't nanners in seeds,
Of course u didn't read it i guess. Nanners are the seeds without the outer shell. Thats why pollen is already released once u see em. I've opened em up myself and seen. Do u wanna see pics?

healthy plant isn't going to herm by being left in the garden to ripen up.
False. Wrong again. If u miss your ripe window the plant goes into survival mode and grows nanners. Some genetics are more susceptible to it. Some are stronger just like ones that are resist to mold or pest.

Bro u got some fire looking plants. Even when they was drooping u can see what appears to be gd genetics. Pick the nanners and keep it pushing. Make sure u give the tent a gd cleaning before next run. Lights fans exhaust everything.
