Problems with DNA Genetics

DNA genetics, sucks, stay away = VERY OLD SEEDS
This is my first time growing DNA genetics. Not many DNA regs around to choose from. I went with91 Krypt, 9/10 germination (gave the last 2 to my brother). Deer topped 6/9 starts, still going strong. They are on the verge of sexing out.The stalks on these are rubbery even after repeated bending. The 91K is going to need extra support.

I apologize! The sativa leaning was fire! Even bought Another pack of strawnana from them.

Pretty new to growing cannabis still
You didn't reveg the fire ??
Demn bro you might regret it,but HEY you will learn!!
Next steps in your process will be taking cuttings/clones to save Fire you have discovered.

Because the chances are very slim you gonna find exactly the same pheno unless the breeder really did a great job with his selection and back crossing.

SO imagine this what i say. You have your strain example your case is skywalker kush.
We know it is a hybrid so its 50% indica and 50% sativa.

But we also know the parent in this case the indica mom side is also a cross between maybe 2 indicas..so now we have 2 indica pheno that can come out or more(but lets keep it simple) and on the other side we got the sativa dad maybe which also is across of maybe 2 sativas (to keep it simple) because(it can also be a cross between another hybrid with sativa)..

So what i try to say..every time you put these seeds in the ground , you could have a chance to have 4 different indica strains genetic speaking.
And within those 4 different indica strains, you can have a combo of even more pheno types because of the crosses and combination that can come out. Now combine that with the sativa side..and basically to keep it simple...you can have like 70 different plants from the same seed with little nuances here and there...Some can yield huge but have little taste, some can have great aromas but doesn't convert to the smoke..
What you look for is = a plant that grows strong, yield well and smells and taste awesome..
And it is not easy to find such combination always..thats why we take cutting just in case..we find a unicorn
Ofcourse one can find something he likes himself..someone who want to sell weed and earn easy money is rather gonna go for a cash crop that yields huge, because he could give less about the taste...
Sometimes its better to have a smaller yielding plant with awesome taste and aroma, we can work our way around it by putting more of them per square meter or give them extra long veg time to compensate for the yield etc..

Good luck finding your unicorn and don't get trapped by the description of some breeders about their strain..they sometimes describing a certain phenotype...doesn't mean it will come out of your 6 pack you bought for 100$ 150$ ;)

So some can grow very fast or some can grow very slow but they got identical the same budd smell and strength and color etc...Because the genetics that are passed trough is not always gonna be the same.

The only time when you get 99.9% the same plant is when you buy IBL seeds.
And in many cases anything above F4-F8 most of the time also are the same plants.

When you see F4-F8 it really means the breeder has spent years on that same strain perfecting it in certain traits he found important..
For that reason some people do prefer F1 because it has a huge pool of genetics to find a SPECIAL plant that noone has and they can use that to start or breed or make seeds or whatever they want.

So big breeders might put down 100 seeds and then go trough selection eventually reducing it to maybe 2..but that doesn't mean the98 others where shit..it just means the breeder was looking for example for fruity notes..and if 90 don't have fruity notes, it doesn't mean its bad cannabis, its just means it doesn't fit the breeder POV of what he wants.

So my growing tip for you is...to learn and take clones..

SO if one day after harvest you come across something you say WOW...then at least you have the same identical plan as backup...and you can throw all the other clones away that didn't impress you..so this little clone now become your mother plant...you can take cutting of her to grow identical the same weed so you don't have to seek your way past 500 seeds with maybe 490 plants that doesn't suit your taste...

And when you find your motherplant..you treat her well..and then you go and find another motherplant that you like..This way you at leas tare sure for yourself you always have weed to smoke that you like 1000%

Nothing is more sad to plant a seed and harvest the seed 3-4 months later only to come to the conclusion the weed is not down your alley..
Big difference between weed you LOVE to smoke and weed you GOT to smoke because there is nothing else :)

Good luck with your journey and hope you learn something
