hey guys
So I’m still having problems with 2 of my baby’s there northern lights autos I’m on week 11 and still no flower or preflower I have 2 others that are 2 and a half weeks into flowering. All the plants are doing great and looking great just those 2 nothing yet. I tried to switch to 14 and 10 to see if that would help but still nothing ( only did it for 2 days). I have a 5 x5 tent with a 1200w led running 18 and 6. Any suggestions would be awesome
Thanks!

You can tell if you got a bunk unstable auto that won't flower, at the nodes you should see 2 round balls each with a b shaped pistol emerging from them, if you got a bunk auto you will not see these, you will see 2 small vertical spikes sticking up at the nodes, you will see these clearly with a glass or loupe, or if you do not see the spikes your autoflower might not have been feminized if this is the case cut your light to 12 12 and see if it starts to flower, if you see those vertical spikes at your nodes your plant will never flower.

Thank you and ya I will check today I’m at week 16 and nothing still I just harvested the other 2 last night and they all sprouted at the same time. I put them in 48 hours of darkness and now there on 12s I will wait 4 more days then there gone! Lol

If the other 2 ran correctly I'm leaning to you have an unfeminized plant, let's hope you do, cut your light to 12 12 and hopefully it will start to flower, but if you see those vertical spikes at the nodes I would still cut the light and see, it's your only way.

There are various concepts or ideas on ways to induce flowering to auto's...in my own personal experience, the only thing that sort of speeds up the process of flowering is to begin administrating bloom nutrients. For me, it seems to make them want to flower sooner than waiting until you see preflowers to administer the bloom nutrients. I've heard of 12/12 speeding up flower, and I've heard that it makes no difference (and everything in between). Don't stress about those two plants not flowering yet...you're just as likely to cause problems in an attempt to rush your plant's natural process as you are to benefit it...if you're in a rush, apply bloom nutrients, I personally feel that cutting back on your light cycle is simply going to hurt your growth rate. I'm not sure what you mean by an unfeminized plant Snole...that determines sex...are you seeing seed sacks, Jmoy? Even if they were males, that would be irrelevant to how long it takes to start blooming in the first place.

*EDIT* I actually just had to photo plants show up in a batch of six autoflowers...they veggied for like 2 or 3 months before I started blooming them for various reasons. This could very well be your situation. Although it would mean less light for the other two, you could experiment and set a few days of 12/12 and see if signs of sex begin to appear.

Also, these two plants could simply be different phenotypes...there are various explanations, none of them are very alarming or to be fretted over.

I've personally never heard of that method of checking how stable the genetics of an autoflowering plant or any plant. Not saying it isn't right or anything of that nature, only that in my 5 years of browsing RIU, I've never seen it being used as a comfirmation of the validity of a plants genetic stability.

Until recently , I assumed all Auto's were Fem , but No, there is Regular Auto's ,
Have you checked your order ??

I don't think being male or female would affect the rate that it flowers, though?...Now, maybe the order is mixed up with photo's, but even if they were regulars it would still flower...just with male flowers instead of females, right?

Good point Logan , but if he has unwillingly ordered Reg Auto's , he will know whats going on & remove them , also dosnt the male take longer to develop its flowers ??

Autoflower do not need bloom nutrients to flower, they start to flower on there own in veg, depending on the strain between day 20 and 35, you run them in veg until they top and are in full bloom, then you add bloom nutrients to enhance your flower and build structure, as stated if your auto has not flowers by now it never will, you have 1 of 2 problems, 1 you got a bunk unstable auto and no matter what you do it will never flower, 2 you have an autoflower that was not crossed correctly, in both cases you have but 1 option, cut your light to 12/12 and hope this induces flowering, sorry but that's the way it is.

So I did check my order and I got regular auto flowers not fem but I had a male plant and at week 6 I pulled it. So far I have had them on 12 and 12 for 3 days now and I’m starting to get some preflower on one I will post some pics when the lights go on, and you guys can tell me if it is truly preflower or I’m seeing things.
Thank all of you for your input!

Males are normally the first to kick off
