So i have a 175w matal halide light that a bought off craigslists. I have come to find out it's an HQI light, meaning it's meant for reefs and is not only hotter, but it's like 14,000K (light temp).
People have said thats a bad thing, some have said it's a good thing. Bottom line, some of my plants are doing great and some are stretching like they are feet away, and they are only inches.
I bought a regular 175w MH from Lowes and i plugged it in and it didn't even light up. Can any one tell me why please?
the 175w ballast says its a AF175WS, and the new bulb says it's for an m57 ballast.
