Somehow I can't find the answer to this. Seems simple, can you top or fim a lower cola or shoot? Not the main stem its self but the other secondary ones.

I could be wrong.. but no. I believe the point of topping or fimming is it that it breaks the “apical dominance”. The growth is no longer aimed at just the one main growth tip.
Basically imagine in nature an animal or something breaking the plant in half. It’s survival technique is to BUSH. like a hydra lol.
