You should be able to achieve that goal, especially with plant pic number 4 on your last post. She looks like a champion.

Sounds about right. Your 260 is more powerful than any of the PGs I'm running - I have 2 180s and a 2010 250 model (basically the same flowering chipset but a 1w veg chipset instead of the 3w yours has). I've run into bleaching issues having them at 8 inches, I'm thinking you could get away with lowering yours a little but not all that much. I plan to keep all mine at 10-12 on the run I just started. I have them at 10 inches right now but only the veg spectrum is turned on.

MMmmmmm getting hairy :) this is the exciting part where they grow more every day and keep throwing up more hairs.

All doing awesome. Decided to LST all of them. This was a day after i LST (two for the first time). Did some more tonight. The soil is still is damp. Seems to be taking forever to dry. I think I would like to experiment with faster draining soil. Adding perlite gravel sand w/e.

And i really want to try Hempy buckets :) looks interesting and easy hydro method. My next one will be soil though, i want to use the rest of my FFOF up and hone my watering skills.

Rambling now (got a new vape :D) anyway all is well LSTing, and im going to begin flowering nutes next time i can water/nute.

Looking very nice man, I'll have to upload update pics soon, they have more than doubled in size! I'm only about 3 weeks from flowering. When are you going to flower?

Flower 12/12--Day 20 (@anotherday)
(flowered them at low height due to time constriction and i dont want them getting too big as im in a cabinet)

Hey everyone girls looking good bud sites are all getting hairy!

Extended the rootzone on my 12/12 from seed :P (also a pic of the roots winding along the bottom.

Using flowering nutes now still fairly light.

Thank you :) they were stretching considerably (compared to veg growth) when i first put them into flower so i was worried they would get too big but a bit after i LST they seemed to have slowed and are now just growing on the buds/growing a little bit vertically :P Oh well. I figured this way i would have a smaller main cola and lots of small/medium colas but probably a little more product overall :D

Happy toking everyone blaze another hit for me ;) :weed:

Arg, found a mite i think :finger:
(tiny little white bugger with a white body and greyish head?) too small for my camera
could be something else because there is only one?

Just one though. Flowers are looking awesome since yesterday tempted to take more pics but ill wait till tomorrow so its more obvious in pics :P (did a bit of light lst to give some bud sites more direct light)

Gonna go over the garden again for bugs just to be sure and ill be putting in a fan tomorrow to get the air moving well (maybe this will help my soil dry faster as well).

Mite solutions (for my future reference): #1Moving air! (all leaves moving)
HotShot nopest strips
Einstein oil
neem oil
drop of soap in water, spray leaves.
Military Grade Napalm :fire::fire::fire:

and then there were three....
Runt turned up being a male :-( and just when he was expanding into the FFOF and shooting up!

OH well more room for the bushy ladies. Day 21/22 hurr. Might be hard to tell from pics but the buds are getting bigger every day:) its exciting

Didnt see any bugs so mayhaps i didnt have mites but just a lone guy who found a warm home. Either way ill be keeping an eye out.

save some pollen so you can make some dank seeds...
Hhahah too late. Dont know heard about people trying to collect pollen or harvest hermies and they contaminate their whole place with pollen and its effected future crops.

I want sensimilla and would rather grow bred strains. (as your own F1 might not turn out as well)

At this point im okay but there will be a point when ill go bigger and do some breeding :)

Nice thread! I've been drooling over the PG's for a couple months now, but I'm in a tight spot financially at the moment so I'm gonna haf to stick with my three 4' double flouro tube fixtures (non-compact F40PL/AQ plant and aquarium) and my 28 Watt LED fixture for blooming for a while. The 4' fixtures (with tubes) were given to me, and my girls do seem to enjoy them OK. But I can't wait to upgrade to a PG (or two). I've got a 2' quad tube T5 cfl with the blue veg tubes in my veg space. I could use more, but it'll have to do for now.

Any thoughts on the benefits of two PG180's vs one PG260? I'm considering getting a PG180 to start with, to use with what I already have. But for only $130 more, it seems like I'd be better off going with the PG260 (I want overkill, like hoss said). If I get the 180, I could save that money for a while and get another 180 later.

It seems like it'd be nice to have the flexibility and extra output of two PG180's, but the price might make me me go with a PG260 ($309x2 vs $429). Lumens per $ works out to something like 32 vs 35, so the 260 is slightly more cost effective. I've got a 4'x4' tent, so I could go either way. I'm wanting to do SOG, rotating crops every 2-3 weeks, would be nice to be able to adjust the height of the two 180's independently, but I could just put the shorter plants on a platform to adjust for the height differences.

Any thoughts?

You make very good points for both. For me it would boil down to two things.
with the 180s if one fails you still have a good light to grow with, whereas if your only 260 fails your kinda screwed (guess cfls could sustain them).
However the 260 will offer better cost/lumen and better penetration.

I would go for the 260. But thats just me.
