Preventing Yellowing Leaves Durring Flower

Ok so I'm in week 5 of flower and some of the leaves are beginning to yellow, now I know this is normal but I plan on regenerating so I can take cuttings and save the genetics. My last cuttings got infected with MOSAIC virus, yikes! Now I wash my hands after smoking lol. Even had to use chlorine gas on my closet. Anyway, since I need those leaves to be in tact for regeneration can I foliar feed them with something to help keep them green? I am thinking a bit of hydro grow fertilizer with a surfactant. I wouldn't be spraying the buds just spot-treatments on the lower leaves. Any ideas/advice?

Hey, bro, there are many more experts here that can give you better advise than me, but I got to tell ya what I learned. I have read in several places that you should not clone plants AFTER they have started Flowering stage. When they get to 12/12 and start Flowering, their hormones are telling themselves "get ready to die" and they genetically re-engineer themselves to not seek Growth. Read up on Cloning and ask others if they agree.

they cloner and recover fine the longer in flower the taller it will be before your plant rematures. Expect the leaves to look funny for a while

yes, you can re-veg and use the plant to clone the new grow tips. there is a thread by videoman and others i think. but it takes a long time for the re-vegged plant to recover and generate new growth. longer then it would take for a new seed to grow to a plant you could clone.

northerntights, i would go with a dilute composed tea for a foliar spray. the 'all-natural' kind that would take ALOT to overfeed or burn your plant. don't give it alot though, you just want a safe margin.

I use that terracycle, worm casting compose tea, every few days home depot has it. TerraCycle Inc
you almost can't overfeed the plants.

my 2 cents,

I think you will just have to let the leaves die as this is the natural process.. and then just sacrafice some shitty tiny popcorn buds on the bottom of your plant for regeneration .. meaning.. dont cut off all the buds... leave the shitty ones (on t he lower branches) on to reveg..

You may want to consider using wilt spray (generally used for cloning) on a couple fan leaves and see if this prevents them from turning yellow..

good luck and keep us posted I am curious if you find a solution!! :)

So abudsmoker you are saying that you can take clones from a re veged plant that has been harvested once already.

yes here is the real draw back after you clone and clone and clone the plant breaks down after you flower your plant has broke it self down. your jagged leaves will round out, you will see the nodes on older plants alternate thus if you reveg a flowered clone it has to "grow out" of the flower stage. whrn you reflower this plant its allready pre sexed. the second yeild will be about half now. Even a good mom is only good for a year or so. after that the genetics are less vigerous and lack yield with LST topping and strait plant. when i first get a mother i love the first gen clones. and save yourself the hassle take larger clones this will give the plant better ability to root. but on the other hand bigger plants take shock very poorly
