pressing hash plugs

got it. i had it all along. i don't really like plugs but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. i made this a few years ago at work. i tried it with a small amount of hash and it all kinda squirt out the sides. if you use a lot of hash it works rather well. :mrgreen:

I'm not a fan of the plugs either..... looks good though, much better than mine has ever turned out.
 
i think i have 7 done. maybe 2 more to go. the trim my buddy gave me sat in his garage to long. it had some mildew in it. i can smell it in my hash. i may be trippin'. my wife says it smells like tea to her. i'm not sure what to do with it.
 
i started with 79 grams and ended up with 75 after pressing. i'm to lazy to take pics. maybe after a few more bong rips of this green crack.

I had some stuff that wasn't done drying but everyone still wanted to smoke it. It tasted like tea until I left some out in the sun.
 
I know this is a newb question but what is hash all about? I know the process of making it kind of... but the real question is how does it smoke?

Quickly at my house. The wife likes smoking weed all day every day, But i much prefer the hash. Don't get me wrong weed is great, but good hash is a special thing to me, you don't need much, But that won't usually keep you from trying to smoke it all at once.

Looking good as usuall FDD, you seemed to imply you prefer to smoke it loose but "had" to press it. Is that for long term storage reasons or you just running out of places to put it? If you have ever seen an episode of "The trailer Park Boys" They have a very unique idea for storing a large amount of hash.

usually i can "work it" by hand into balls. this is a B grade so it's not as pliable. i "had' to use the vise to get it to form together. i had it under so much pressure i was getting a dark oil squirt thru the cracks of the press. :mrgreen:
 
i talked to my buddy. he said he had powdery mildew going on and actually had to harvest early. he didn't want to give me the trim because it was mildewy. by the time i did get it it was mildewy and starting to rot. i got a lot of hash out of it. good hash at that. only one problem, it smells like sour catpiss. i still think i should just throw it away. :spew:

Looked like a pretty nice and easy system, even back then. I wonder if there's something you could use as a binding agent to help it stick together and be blacker? Hashoil?
