Alrighty dirt in a solo cup no tube I got it.
Yes you can run a tube to make it hempy. I mean it doesn't break the rules. The hydro guys will have hoses in their cup. Glue the tube to the hole on the inside and contained in the cup I don't see how it breaks the rules. I mean the hydro guys will be using airstones and hoses. Its no different.

If nothing else put a 1/4 inch hole in the bottom and glue hose in and fill with medium and don't show the hose.

Anyways. I might be in. Consider this my entry. I'm running a cab with my unit farm at 12/12. I could stick some solo cups in as I'm already running some in one gallon bags.

i'm running hydro with no airstone.

my water will be oxygenated enough after i add nutes. and in reality, if my plant makes it to maturity, i will only have room to feed ounces at a time to top off cup. that will be soaked up in no time... i don't think there is a need for air. just like a rooted clone in a class in a window. just change the water every day or 2.

thats my theory, and i'm sticking to it. bongsmilie

They will most likely be fine without airstones. I grow several different house plants in water without airstones and hardly ever change the water. Water exchanges O2 on its own. With frequent changes I don't think it would be a problem.

I was just answering the person wanting to use a tube to make the cup a hempy. As I as reading this thread I thought the same thing. Use a tube to make a resivour in the bottom. If air hoses and net pots are allowed as long as they aren't sticking out the top of the cup then a hose in the bottom concealed is fine.

i already stated earlier in the thread i thought it was legal, but @The Dawg rules with an iron fist :o:shock:

It can be flowered from clone in a small cup of water. I'm doing it right now. These were cut 10 days before flip while still in veg. They have been flowering for 9 1/2 weeks. I didn't change the water as often as I probably should have. Roots turning green on one, been adding a few drops of 3% h peroxide.
Wish I could play :(
I like growing big plants in little pots.

Step 1: Teach cat to pee on plant.
Step 2: Feed cat nutrients

(This is a joke for those that think I am serious)
Had a couple bins of organic soil I was letting sit in the basement, forgot to put the covers on. Noticed my cat was using the litter box less. Fucker shit and pissed in that soil for 2 weeks straight, can't use it anymore. 40 gallons gone. Here's the fatass he knows what he did.20161227_200449.jpg

When does this actually start I don't have a "fancy" led so I can't participate but can't wait to watch it all go down

no, i was talking about the hempy stem at the bottom of the cup. that's the one ruled a no-no.
He didn't actually say no to it. He said to read the rules and the other guy said it was a no then.

The stem on the bottom doesn't break them. I don't think anyways. I don't see how it can.

Airstones and hoses are allowed. Liners are allowed. Several things are allowed as long as they are inside the cup.

I know what you meant. I was just getting at that I find it weird that a piece of air hose is allowed in one situation but not another.

Seems he just doesn't want someone running hempy for some reason.

I don't have LED.

It's cool!
I have something to keep me busy, I'm going to help growers that want help in the General section.

If it is allowed under the rules, I am going to start a thread to chat with any of the soil growers that want to show there progress on my thread and talk about soil, watering, nutrients and problems.
Watering and nutrients are the 2 most likely things that will knock out a soil grower from the competition. The other will likely be poor soil quality or soil that they have not used before IMO.

I'm hydrating a few of those plastic 9 oz cups right now with two different soils. One has more drainage. I created a 1/4" hole in the bottom. I'm going to germinate in a paper towel now and on my thread I will show progress and when I water to show how long they will take to dry out before watering again. I'm going to keep it simple. Water only. Might help some of the newer soil growers up there game. I'll pick up some 16 oz too.

On a different note I was an ass last time I was in the LED section in November so I'm not popular here.
If I won it would bring everybody down ;).

What is cool is that this thread is full of the growers I respect and never wanted to insult. I only wanted to mess with some of the other weird parts in the LED section, like the trolls that show up as new members and within 12 posts from being new members they start touting how great they yield with LED and I know it's likely bullshit and they get all kinds of love. It was annoying to me when I first entered the led section. Now it is just entertaining reading.
Anyway, glad I had the right spot to share this in the LED section. A thread filled with all the growers.
I'll sit on the sideline now and watch the show unless I have a question or thought that I think can help.
If any trolls show up in this thread they better bring their cups lol.
Good Luck Everyone!
Maybe next year Dawg!
