Preflower Help!

I have a plant that is currently outdoors and its been growing around a month or so and today i looked and saw female preflowers :)!! . But should it have preflowers and its only May? Will it go straight into flower and stop vegging? I dont want it to miss a whole summer of veg. Thanks

This looks like the place to ask this Question. I am a new grower and I wanted know what the pre flower stage looks like or what are the first signs of a plant flowering? Cause my plant (FEMALE) is starting to stretch on the main colas only they are growing about twice as fast as the rest of the plant. So they are sticking up above the rest of the plant by 4 inches or so. I am also starting to get a lot more vegetationbut the leaves are much smaller than before but much more abundant. Is this a sign of anything to be curious about? or happy about or sad about? Thank You, BB2112
P.S: Please I have pictures If needed.

Hey frmrboi, Thank you for answering i thought no one was going to help me on this one BUT! please read!!!! below.
so do you mean 15 hours in one day straight? How could i ever get 15 hours of straight continuous sunlight. The thing is the plant is only 20 inches tall x 22inches wide or round right now. I would like it to get a bit bigger, Will she just keep growing untill it's ready or if I change it's light patterns i could trigger it to flower? so the less sun the more probable it won't go into flowering , Is that correct? if I give it 8 to 10 hours a day will she just keep growing taller and wider? I wouldn't mind if she took till september to complete her thing. could you answer these question's please. I am really confused about how to get 15 hours of daylight on an outside growing plant? Thank You, BB2112

my guide book says anything under 16 is danger territory for setting out transplants.
direct of couse is ideal bur from 10 AM to 3 PM are the most productive hours of sunlight.
move further North if you want to grow outdoors your days are too short Nuclearbud for a lot of strains.

The preflowers just mean your plant has reached sexual maturity, with the exeption of most autoflowers most every strain will do this if vegged long enough.

After reading back a few comments i have another question on hazeforlife's comment that said he doesn't put his out yet he is waiting for june so how much sunlight (direct) does a plnt need to grow healthy, tall and quick. So what you are saying is that the amount of light it gets whether sunlight or a light bulb(infrared or incadescent bulb) will determine when it starts to flower? So if i leave it outside all day and it gets sunlight from sun up to sun down all the way into dark night it will start flowering when the sun is out the longest during the months of the year?
In other words about the light bulb question I meant does it have to be a grow bulb or just a regular light bulb when you are talking about light. along with the sun of course. If I have it out in the sun all day and bring it inside and put it under a regular bulb is that going to affect the plant in any way or would it have to be a grow light bulb? ok I think that explains it pretty well? please anyone if you can answer parts or all please chime in here!!!!! Thank you, BB2112

lol your makin it seem to complicated, its not that hard to understand.. a plant thats on 24 hour light will start budding if u switch it to even 15 hour light.. they need about min 8 hours of direct sunlight outside..direct sunlight has nothing to do with flowering (well it does on terms of bud size) but think about on a rainy day theres no sun, the plant still thinks it daytime.. and if you want to grow inside or bring them inside at night then you need a florescent type light or cfl.. make sure its around 6500 kelvin for veg.. or a hid light, mh or hps.. IF YOU WANT IT TO BUD PUT IT OUT WITH NO EXTRA LIGHT.. IF YOU WANNA KEEP IT VEGGING THEN BRING IT OUT AS SOON AS IT GETS DARK SO THAT YOU GET 24/7 LIGHT.. and dont give it weird light schedules. only 24/0 20/4 18/6 and 12/12 for flowering

** then bring it in
I am sorry I am not trying to make it difficult but This is my first grow and I don't want to F**K it up. So please let me tell you what schedule I am doing and let me know if it is good, bad or Okay!. I put it out at 7 or 8:00 am and leave it out till dark 8 or 9:00pm then bring it in and leave it by the back door where it get the evening air (cool Air/now) and give her a like spraying with a spray bottle on the leaves. I have been doing the same thing everyday. She is growing just fine and very healthy I just want her to get a bit taller before she starts flowering. So should I just keep doing the same thing each day and then when I want her to start flowering I cut back on the hours Of light. is this Correct? So to make her start budding when I want it to I would change what on that schedule.

The hormone that flowers your plant is triggered by darkness (the more hours of dark it recieves the more this hormone builds your buds). Keep lights on your plant for at least 18 hours a day if you want it to focus on growing instead of flowering.

some strains will show preflowers during veg, though they wont start their photoperiod unless they recieve 12 or more hours of dark a day (or if they are an autoflower strain)
