Predicting Buds

Hi! I have a plant that is just 12inch tall. It have 6 nodes.

Given the right light conditions, will this nodes turn into buds?
Will I have 6 buds + 1 main bud?

Should I flower it now?

Someone else will chime in about bud sites, I would say just wait and see as you will start to understand the plant a bit better as you watch them develop.

Flower when your space is half full (bearing in mind space needed between tops and light). Plants can double in size in flower, sometimes triple in some strains.

Good luck and happy growing.

You can flower it whenever you want. If it is sativa it might end up 3 feet tall. If it is indica it might only grow a couple inches.

If you only have one plant, maybe you should take the next 30 days ( while she is still vegging ) and read up on cloning ( it's a simple thing to do and requires a very small outlay of $ ) and growing cannabis in general. 2 hours a day of reading, ready, set & GO !!!!!!

Thats my 'problem', as I only have one plant, I have enought space to let it veg until 2 feet (its a sativa so I have space to fit a 6 feet flowering plant).

Room:
Height -> 7 feet Width: 3 feet
Light -> 150W CFL + 600 HPs

Plant (today):
8 nodes, 16 inches, LST and new growth from all nodes.

So, I think I have space.
Should I wait until it gets more nodes?

The plant health is ok. But growth is very slowly (about 10 weeks).

And, about clones. One clone = 1 less bud?

Usually no, after you switch to 12/12 the plant will transition to flowering (a week or two), during which it will branch out even faster. The answer would be yes if you would do something like mainlining (search forum) and basically remove the lower shoots. You would basically have 6 buds + 1 main bud + lots of smaller bud sites.

Since you got one plant and 600watt I suggest looking into topping and/or LST.

If you top it (see UncleBen's sticky) you can use that topped off part as a clone. By removing the main buds site (terminal bud) the remaining shoots (lateral bud sites) will become equal main sites and better spread out under the light.

After 10 weeks, that plant should be a bush. Without a pic, it's hard to say, but is seems like it is growing far too slowly. Might want to make sure your light is not too intense and that your temps are in check. Idk, that's just a thought that popped into my head...good luck!
