Pre Harvest Ritual

So you think your plants are ready, they're done, ready for harvest...

But wait...

What do you do before you harvest? Anybody got any pre harvest ritual.
I usually get really baked, nothing too crazy.
I've heard of people putting plants into the dark, cutting all foliage a day or two before, ice/ice water. Once I heard about women dancing around the soon to be harvested buds.

If i can ill let em go 3 days in the dark and make sure the dirts bone dry the day goin into the dark. But that was for more of a drying and curing system i had. Dry as a bone in the dark for 3 days, chop, trim and hang in the tent with the fans on a timer on a specific pattern for 3 days, then 3 days in a jar and its cured to perfection. Instead of choppin and hangin for a week then jarring for a month or so.

I also make sure to smoke before, during, and finger hash blunts at the end for the back ache.

Nice, if I had the space I would try three days of dark. Finger hash blunts, yum.

Yeah, lately ive been on more of a perpetual harvest so my tent hasnt been free lately.

the only thing i notice is the time til its cured enough to really smell/taste good. Instead of that 9 day ritual its more like 2 weeks depending on how dry it is outside.

Nah you gotta sacrifice the virgins if you want the real harvest gods to grace you with a bountiful crop.

Ha ha. Yes that's what I'm getting at. Animal or virgin sacrifice.
I am doing a perpetual, harvest every two weeks or so. I need more space, goats, and virgins. I am short on all three.

Damn! I got the goat farm in the corner of my room makin my compost and the virgins doin what theyre good for.... cookin. haha

I harvest once a month. Gettin about 8 zips per harvest so its workin pretty well. Just hate the dozen gallon jugs lyin around everywehre. Gotta upgrade to a rez one of these days.

I make sure to wait until the light cycle is about to start and then pick, or let it sit in the dark until I am ready to pick.
If you pick during the light cycle there will be much more starches in the plant.

I don't trim. I remove the leaves by hand when I smoke. I think letting the leaves dry on the buds helps the curing process.
No full melt bubble hash though.

I feel it. I usually do a rough trim with my spinpro trimmer then hang em to dry. I agree that it helps em dry better but i didnt know about the starches thing. Makes sense though.
