Ppms and ec ?

hi i am having difficulty with my ppm/ec I’m currently using Remo Nutrients I’ve just given my first feed of it and I only mixed up 8 ml in 10lt of water (450ppm/0.7ec) seems too low but my plants seem dark enough and I’m scared that if I go to the recommended dose 21ml it will over nuit, my plants are only 3 foot I put them into flower a few days ago no major problems but I don’t want to run into any by over feeding.

In veg I had major problems trying to adjust to advanced nutrients I would only go up or down a bit with the feed and it would ither be over or under nuit.

Also I just read that if you check the ppm/ec of the runoff if it’s higher than your feed then your adding too much and if it’s less your under feeding is this true ?

What brand ppm pen are you using and do you know if it's on 500 or 700 scale? 450 ppm to me is .9 EC on 500 scale. Also does Remo nutrients give there recommend feeding levels in EC or ppm or by weight/grams per gallon?

450 ppm isn't to low if your plants are happy but if your seeing runoff in the mid 1000s or higher you got some build up in pots already. What are your runoff numbers looking like?

Thanks for the reply I don’t go by the scale I go by eutech I don’t know if that is right how would I know what scale it is on ?

There is no ppm or ec chart for Remo Nutrients just the feed calculator.

Also I Checked the run off this morning and it is 700 ppm is this ok, I have been feeding every other day should I start to feed everyday and bring the nuits down ?

Btw I’m using coco

Greetings, in Coco I feed, water, feed. Haven't had my run-off EC creeping up any and the plants are happy and lush green. I used to feed daily and bi daily and always had salt build up every 4-6 weeks.

Scale. Get a calibration solution and see. After time and using the same nutes you can guesstimate EC pretty much.

Hey dude that’s How I fed my last crop, it went fine but I tried it with my blue cheese and when I fed with water plants started showing deficiencies the next day so I feed every time with these baby’s.

Btw how do you use a ppm calibration solution iv never seen one.

Also is 700 ppm runoff too high or am I good ?

I don't use coco so I'm not much help but I know a guy on another forum that knows his coco. His name is Dansbuds and he's on Icmag, check out the thread called "any kiss users have exp. with veg+bloom". Here is something he wrote recently but I'd recommend going over there and reading through his posts, he explains alot to guys using coco.

"once the plants have a good root system , you can feed them multiple times if thats your style . not saying it is ..... its just one way of feeding coco .
i personally just keep the pots wet .... not saturated , just wet . i feed them at lights on till i get runoff , suck that out with a shop vac & then i usually feed them right before lights out so they stay hydrated during the off hours . i feed them just enough so that i get very very little runoff ..... don't want them sucking it up while i'm not in there . runoff once a day is good as long as theres enough to flush out any build up .

you don't want coco to dry out or it fucks up the cation balance in the coco .
make sure your PH is always in check before feeding .
don't let the pots sit in the runoff long & especially don't let it suck it up to point the pots are drying out . thats when salts build up from crystalizing .
i'm of the mind set its better to feed low & have to add more if the plants ask for it .... than to feed it to much & have to flush it out ....
feed the plants more in veg & keep them as happy & green as possible ..... but keep the feeds low in flower & feed plain water at the end for at least 2 weeks to flush out all remaining nutes .
V&B RO formula does very very well all by itself in flower !!! i haven't used a PK booster or flower hardener in years ! It doesn't need it !"
