ppm top off question..

Ok so I've found that when checking your ppm if..

1.Water level drops PPM goes up: Drop your nutrient strength in relationship to the PPM rise.
2. Water level drops PPM stays the same: You may be able to fine tune you nutrient strength, if growth is vigorous leave it alone.
3. Water level drops PPM drops: Raise you nutrient strength in relationship too PPM drop.


..so my question is..Do you top it off and then check the ppm? Because if you were to top it off first it is going to help dilute some of the solution and the reading won't be quite as high..?

I just wasen't sure at what time to get the reading, so that I can make the most accurate judgment. Thank you!

Hi bro check it before AND after. Check it first and if needed add nutrient when you top it off. Check after to make sure every thing is right and dilute if needed. The last thing is to check PH and you should be good to go. Didnt know there where any other members of the family here?! Peace!
