ppm needed or used

the best thing for you to do is to go to google and type in the name of your girl and then type ppm after that, you should then get a general description of what ppm your plant should be no more than in veg and bloom

Let me help ya:

For Indica:

PPM for Hanna Chart PPM

Seedlings, Early Sprouts 100 to 250

Early Vegging 300 to 400

Full Vegetation 450 to 700

Early Blooming 750 to 950

Full Mature Blooms 1000 to 1600

Note: EC Calculations are different, here's a conversion chart :
heres a great chart that shows how different PPM can be from meter to meter... EC is the only real universal language...

thanks rose +rep i just calibrated my tds meter {it is a cheap hanna} and is it normal for tap water to be at 128, and all the water in my jugs that were left open over night have a ppm of 138 and then the water from my purifier jug in the fridge is 134. I thought the tap water would have the highest ppm and the purified water the least ppm. and when u calculate your solution do u count the waters ppm as part of your nute solutions ppm. like say i wanted a 500 ppm nute solution. my base water is 125ppm do i want to reach a nute solution of 625ppm or 500ppm? do i count the water?

Yes, you need to include the water PPM.
This is why using shitty, 'hard water' decreases the amount of nutes you can use in turn decreasing it's potentcy.
Your water is not to bad.

Water has minerals and salts that add to the ppm, so you have to substract that average water ppm amount.

You want the ppm of the nutrient enriched water, so if you want, for example, a 1000 ppm, do not count the 128 you already have.

You could consider a cheap water filter. You can grow with hARD water OK, but it messes with the pH .

r u saying i would want my meter to read 1128ppm or just 1000? So the water is part of the solution take it or leave it the better water u have the more nutes u can give. Do u think my tds meter is accurate? how does the left out water have higher ppm?

If you want your ppm meter to tell you that you have 1000 ppm for nutes, it will have to say 1128 to consider the water.

So the water is part of the solution take it or leave it the better water u have the more nutes u can give.
Yep
Do u think my tds meter is accurate?
how would I know? All hard water reads 100+ PPM.

how does the left out water have higher ppm?
huh? :wall:

if i give nutes every watering how much should the solution be weaker than what u stated and is this exclusive for indica what about mixes indica/sativa is it much different
