Ppm going up

Hi, I have a question for everyone. I have been noticing that my ppm is rising quick. The plants are drinking lots of water and was wondering if there not taking up nutrients. I start my ppm at 800 and in 3 days it's up to 1800-2200? Any thoughts?

Hi MC. Pop some deets in. I can assume its hydro and in flower but give a snap shot for people.
Strain + general health + overall environment: temp/RH/ full RO?/ and so on.

I'm starting week 7 in flower today. I noticed the ppm changes in week 6. I don't know how to post a pic. I'm using dwc/ full ro water. Then adding nutrients. Plant were looking really healthy. They still look good,just abit of heat burn to some of the closest leaves. I was thinking they might be in nutrient lock? Just cause they're drinking lots of water and maybe not taking the nutrients. Also my ph hasn't changed that much. Started at 5.8 and is 6-6.1

Guessing you keep refilling with nutes and not just plain water?

No, I was topping up with water every 2-3 days. Trying to delute the ppm cause I would think 1800- 2200 would be to much

Just read your other post as well. When is the last time you've flushed your resevoir or checked you roots?

Sounds like a salt buildup.

I flushed it last week and will be doing again tonight. The roots seem good ,not slimy.

Yea, maybe a flush again and check your temps. If you have heat stress they'll drink more water to stay hydrated, increasing your PPM. When you add RO water though, should go back down. Salts don't just add themselves lol. So it's a little weird.

Also when you say flush are you meaning just pumping out all the rest of water.And then starting fresh mixture. Or are you talking about using a flushing agent and fresh water

I have only pumped out nutes out and started new mixture

RIU has a problrm with images today uts not you. MC chuck a repeat of this post in the hydroponic/aeroponic thread. Your under newbie section the dwc regulars might not look in here. State The strain and Put in volumes of h20 in bucket and top up ect...Sounds like your doing well and thinking right.
I tried hydro once and boy it was hard work! All the best to you buddie.

Just empty, clean, and refill. You could have salts laying in there still. Could be algae growth if you have a light leak or your temps are too high.

What are your temps? You said heat stress and they are drinking a lot. Light too close?

My temp in room gets between 78 and 82. I try to keep it 75 to78. The light is probably a foot away. I cant raise the light anymore

Well one of those is the likely culprit. If you aren't "cleaning" your res, could be salt buildup in your roots. If you're roots are good and there are no salts, light leak or temp is breeding algae.

Since your ph is rising and by that much, along with temps and lighting, I vote algae.

A peroxide flush won't hurt and then you can refill with nutes. If algae was the culprit, your ppm will be where I t should be after flush.

My roots are brown colored, but I think it's because they're stained due to the nutes I use. I will try the peroxide flush. If it's not to late to do so going into week 7 of flower?

Roots don't stain. If they are brown, algae.

Flush with peroxide, make sure your roots get some, and put them back at what they were.

If you don't fix them now, next step is rot and that comes quick and swift, especially in flower.

No problem. Update when you can, curse me out if it's not fixed. Check your ppm daily after the flush to make sure.
