poweroutage

I had a power outage last night and it interrupted the light cycle and let my grow room get cold. I run my lights from 7pm till 7 am. I think the power went off at 12:30 am and turned back on at 6:00 am then turned off again on schedule of 7:00 am. Also the heater turned off at the time of power outage till I realized it this morning at 8:30 when I woke up. It was 57* F in there.

What if anything ids this gonna do to my blooming plants? Thanx

Nothing real bad, the cold will just slow them down a bit, don't worry about the extra dark, it's all good. You must be using digital timers.

I agree :)

Same thing just happened to me , Heater never come on and it dropped to 55 with lights off , From what i read it will just slows down growth a tiny bit but will recover pretty fast .

The light going off and back on and then off again will not matter ether , The plant kind of resets its self when lights come on ....Only if lights are OFF for more than 12 hours will it stress the plant .... But possitive stress can be a good thing in THC production , Some growers leave lights off toward the end of the flower cycle for long periods to induce possitive stress and make the plant produce more THC :)

i had exact same issue - snow caused power out for 5 hrs 3 days ago no real harm done - i had to adjust timers again to get back to my cycle

i suspect i may have slowed grow by a few days and a few more days from crud weather - been so cold

when my power went out my min temp got to -0.4 deg C i was very lucky power only off for 5 hrs any longer i would have seen -5 or worst - certain death

My space heater is digital and has to be turned on again after an outage or unplug. Also my light timer is analog, the kind with push ins on a dial.
Since the power went off then on then off again in one light cycle do I need to turn off the light for 24 hr to make the plant get back on schedule?

What temp do you keep your room at, and do you have it a lil cooler with lights off?

It might seem crazy at the time , But don't panic ... Just keep an eye on them , You can learn a lot from accidents and mistakes .... Allways see the positive :)

Im in flower and my room is dialed in pretty well , I have pretty good control over conditions and can ballence it as and when i need to , I keep my room at a steady 80-85 with lights on and 70 with lights off useing a heater , The trick is to keep the rise and fall within a 15 degrees ;)

my temps in my closet are about 75 at night and drop to 50-58 degrees at night, every night during fall/winter. i have had no ill effects from this that i can tell. the plants are actually doing quite well. as far as the light inturruption i've never had an issue from a one time thing like that. some strains are fussy like that but i wouldn't worry too much.
