Power went out, cmh won't turn back on

as title says

The power went out briefly here about 20 mins ago.

I reset hps timer and that light fired back up like normal

The cmh tent however I'm having issues. The 315 cmh won't turn on.

Any ideas ? Is it totally fkd? It's a new light, only couple months old.

Without protection circuits i think there is a chance the bukb might fail if restruck hot or possibly blow up in your face leaving you disfigured and scaring kids for life, possibly might quit growing idk how strong your will is in the face of a horrific growing accident.

I wired a "delay on off" device into my flip box. It waits a preset time from when the power goes off. I set it to 15 minutes. If the power goes off at say 8:00 PM and comes back on at 8:03 PM it waits another 12 minutes before turning the lights on. If the power goes off at 8:00 PM and comes back on at 8:15 PM then it doesn't wait at all.

This was gonna be this mornings message to you bro lol

can i install some sort of fail-safe protection against blowing up lights or as kinggrow said, disfigurement lol

1 step ahead as usual. So is this just sorta like a separate timer? or a specific switch?

I run a hi par ballast and it states

"Our ballasts operate using smart-ignition software and soft-start technology. This allows them to safely fire multiple ballasts at precisely timed intervals, and will never re-strike a hot lamp as this can be dangerous.
If a ballast is not turning on immediately, it may be using these features to wait 2-15 minutes before striking the bulb. Always ensure to wait 20-30 minutes when testing the functionality of a ballast."
So check ur manufacturer.

Firstly quite a few lights have inbuilt protection against one or two things in case you all think i meant go out and buy indwpendant protection.

Secondly half that post was just a joke but after i had to correct a lot of you on basic stuff i can see at what point you lost any sense of humour.

My light wont restrike from hot either and as the op found out you just need to wait a few mins :-)
