Do you think she'll get much taller than 40 inches? Would you recommend staking Power Africa down or something like SCROG or tomato cages next time?

No, i don't think she'll get much taller. She grew an inch a day in the first two weeks and then pretty much stopped, which is typical. The only taller i think she'll get now is just from the cola getting bigger. Except my Super Sour OG grew more in its third week then it did its second week, so you never know. Yea i think the Power Africa would do awesome in a SCROG setup. I recommend the Power Africa to anyone, because its got great genetics, and i want to see some more grows on her :-o

I've seen more and more grow reports with people having really nice runs with these African and Jamaican plants and landraces. Can't wait to see the smoke report!

:fire:

Sorry to bug ya with all these question, but what is the smell like on that? Is it an offensive odor?

Yea I want to do a final flowering report with all the pics I got and most definitely a smoke report! Hey man ask all the questions you want bongsmilie, I'm on RIU all the time lol. She smells very sweet right now slightly skunky. It's hard to tell how offensive it would be because I got a big carbon filter in a 6' x 4' x 7' area so it masks it pretty well, but she's a stinky one if you get near her lol, hope that's what u wanted to know

great choice of genetics to grow. ive been wanting to see some more seedsman gear grown out. same with the emerald triangle gear. i really like both of those companies. fair prices, nice genes.

your plants look nice!! I agree about the over fert thing when using bagged mixes. I also use roots organics soil. i used to mix it with happy frog/ocean forest. i seem to like the roots organics better tho. its easier to control. in fact i use the buddha grow and buddha bloom by them as well.

Thanks skunk! yea the genetics of this Power Africa are excellent. Great structure, smell, and trichome production. The Super Sour OG has also been nice so far, not as trichy as the Power Africa was at Week 3 flowering, but not worried the slightest bit . Yea i defiantly over fed them both when they were in veg. I've been feeding them both anywhere from an 1/8 to 1/4 strength feedings of Age Old Bloom and Age Old Kelp for the last couple weeks because they've been in their current pots for at least 4 weeks, so i'm thinking they need the nutes. Today, Monday, i will be updating again. The Power Africa's bottom leaves are yellowing up and I'm not too sure if its nitrogen or magnesium. I fed it epsom salts hoping that it was magnesium. Let me know what you think it might be!

Power Africa - Seedsman Seeds

*5 weeks flowering (35 days)
*40 1/2"
*can't remember what I fed her on Tuesday, getting too baked i guess lol. Using water filtered through the Small Boy
*Friday I fed her 1 tsp/gal of espom salts because of the yellowing of the leaves. I'm now pretty positive its nitrogen
*smell is very sweet and really strong, not recommended for low key grows
P1010683.jpgP1010702.jpgP1010700.jpgP1010701.jpgP1010703.jpgP1010690.jpgP1010704.jpgP1010691.jpgP1010682.jpgP1010681.jpgP1010694.jpgP1010689.jpgP1010688.jpgP1010695.jpgP1010692.jpgP1010693.jpgP1010696.jpgP1010698.jpgP1010699.jpgP1010707.jpgP1010706.jpgP1010697.jpgP1010686.jpgP1010705.jpgP1010685.jpgP1010684.jpgP1010687.jpg

So the fan leaves started yellowing up from bottom up last week and i wasn't too worried. I just gave her some epsom salts. What I'm worried about is the leaves on the bud shoots. They started yellowing up pretty quick and are drooping also. Is this a Nitrogen deficency? I'm going to be feeding her next watering so I wanted to know some peoples opinions.

Power Africa

*7 weeks flowering
*41" (cola basically grew 1/2" this week)
*Monday 1/7/13 I fed her 1 tsp of Age Old Bloom, Grow, Kelp, and Humboldt Honey ES
*Friday I fed her just plain water from the Small Boy Filter, PH 6.5 PPM = 310
*She is got much more pungent this last week, and my roommate described the smell as rotting strawberries lol. It's definitely very very sweet
*Will be flushing her today with RO water from the grocery store, PH 6.5 PPM = 27 (I got a gallon from the same type of grocery store but diff location and it was PPM of 5, so always test store bought RO water!)
*going to flush until PPM of run off is as low as 50, or at least that's the goal

I flushed the Power Africa yesterday with 15 gallons of RO water PH=6.5 PPM=27. Run off started at 1500 ppm and after about 11 gallons it was about 600 and only dropped to 500 for the last 4 gallons. I didn't reach my goal of getting close to 0 PPM, but I'm satisfied with 500. Hopefully I'll see some fading this week! :-P

I chopped the Power Africa on Monday which would put it at about 56 days. From what i could see she had mostly cloudly trichs and hardly any clear or amber, and she had completed her swell. Also, the smell of her almost changed in the last couple days. It got stronger and sweeter. Didn't have to give her anymore water since the flush and the soil was still pretty wet when we harvested her. First time drying in such a dry climate so i figured it would be better if the buds were more moist at time of harvest. I pulled just the fan leaves off and hung her upside down from the ceiling. Been drying for three days now and will probably go two more before she gets trimmed up and jarred.

Pics are a little out of order..
